Get a Police Car in Forza Horizon 5
First, let’s get you the car itself. This part is easy. All you need to do is buy any car with a Police paint job from the game’s Designs and Paints tab. Here are the exact steps you need to take to get a police car in Forza Horizon 5: (a video is also attached above)
- Go to any Horizon Event site, and enter the Garage.
- Scroll to the Designs and Paints tab.
- Go to the Find New Designs tab.
- There, go into the Search options.
- Type Police Car in the Manual Description box.
- You will see all of the available Police Car paint jobs for dozens of cars in the game.
Choose the one you like and equip it. You’ll have to buy the car from the event shop or showroom first if you want to use any paint job on it.
Turn on Police Lights
Good, so you bought the car and applied the Police paint job on it. But if your police car does not have any lights on the roof, you might need to follow these steps and enable them manually.
- Enter the Garage with the car.
- Go to the Upgrades tab.
- Go into Custom Upgrade.
- When inside the Upgrade Shop, open the Aero and Appearance menu.
- Go into the Side Skirts option and select any other one.
- Apply the changes, and you should now see the police lights.
This sure is a weird way of turning on police lights in FH5. Let us know if this method is persistent across different paint jobs. We’ve tested it on three cars, and the results have been fruitful.
How to Get the Police Horn in FH5
Lastly, no cop car is complete without the iconic police horn. Sadly, this is the only accessory where you might need some luck. You can’t just buy the Police horn at all times. Here’s a list of all the different ways you can get a police horn in FH5:
- Forzathon Shop: Keep checking the Forzathon Shop regularly to see if the Police Car Horn comes into your shop and buy it.
- Festival Playlist: You might be able to snag the Police Car Horn by completing dailies/weeklies during a specific Festival Playlist.
- Wheelspin: You can also win car horns from Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5. Who knows, you might get lucky and get a Police Car Horn one day. *fingers crossed.
Once you have the horn, you can equip it by going into the Cars tab and clicking on Car Horn. There, you’ll see a list of all the car horns in the game, preview their sounds, and equip the ones you have.
