Hogwarts Legacy features tons of secrets all around the map. Such is the case with three Unforgivable Curses you can find during your journey in the game. Crucio
After you complete the “Welcome to Hogsmeade” main quest, you can talk to Sebastian Sallows and get the side quest to unlock Crucio. To start this optional quest, make sure that you check your Owl Post and read his message. If you do not read the letters, this quest will not start.
This quest will be called “In the Shadow of the Study“, so make sure that you keep an eye out for that. The quests are pretty simple but you might be stuck behind a level barrier. Get to level 16 as fast as you can to ensure that you get this curse quickly.
Imperio
You need to be level 17 to learn Imperio and this quest will be called “In the Shadow of Time“. Keep in mind that this quest will not automatically begin after learning Crucio, so, you have to meet a few prerequisites. After learning Crucio, make your way around Hogwarts and complete various small side quests.
Doing so will cause Seb to send you another letter telling you to meet near the Defence against the Dark Arts classroom. So, make sure that you check your Owl Post as often as you can, otherwise, you’ll miss this quest.
Avada Kedavra
Finally, to learn Avada Kedavra, you need to be at least level 28 to get a letter from Seb. After reaching the level requirement, check your Owl Post and read the letter to trigger this quest. After learning the previous curse, you should play the game normally because it will take a long time to reach this level.
Getting this curse can be a bit tricky because you can technically finish the game before ever reaching level 28. However, if you want to unlock it, make sure that you complete all side quests and explore every part of the map. You will find various collectibles that you can get to earn more XP. This will help you reach this level.
