Minecraft Ladder Recipe
To craft a ladder in Minecraft, you will need the following:
- 7 Sticks
- Place the sticks in an H pattern, as shown in the image above
- After doing so, you’ll be able to get three ladder blocks for every 7 sticks.
Note: You can also stack multiple sticks on each of their places to be able to create multiple ladder blocks at the same time.
Crafting a Ladder in Minecraft
- For the Minecraft ladder recipe, you’ll only need one tree. Walk up to any tree and start breaking from the ground
- Once you’ve chopped down a tree, you can craft wooden logs by opening your inventory (E) and placing the logs in the crafting menu. Then, place one block in each space of the crafting menu like Picture .1 from above.
- Now that you have the crafting table, you can just stack the planks you have on top of each other to make sticks.
- To craft a ladder, you’ll need 6 sticks. Once you have those, just make an (H) in the crafting table by stacking the sticks one on top of the other on both sides of the grid, then just connecting them with a stick in the middle, like so:
PRO TIP: If you ever forget the ladder recipe again, just click on the green book on the left of the crafting grid. There, you can search for every recipe in the game, if you ever need one!
Other Uses for Ladders
- As A Fuel Source – Ladders can also be used as a fuel source. While they aren’t the most efficient or the most practical, you can use them to smelt 1.5 items when in a pinch.
- As a Fall Damage Blocker – Ladders break your fall regardless of what height you are falling from
- As Decoration – Minecraft prides itself on its ability to turn every block into some sort of decoration. There are some niche scenarios where ladders actually go very well with a painting!
Give Command for Minecraft Ladder
You can always use the give command to give yourself a ladder too. If you don’t want to go the crafting route and just need a ladder in the heat of the moment, use this command to get a ladder quickly:
/give <playername> ladder 64
“Give” is a command that’s used to give players items. For “<playername>”, just write the player name, and then the name of the object + number of items. Here’s an example of the give command with multiple variations:
/give FroozeOneShot ladder 64
/give FroozeOneShot diamonds 2
/give Biggie123 emeralds 58
That’s everything you need to know on how to make a ladder in Minecraft. If you need more ladders for your Minecraft house, then there’s always a forest nearby to give you all the wood that you need. Now go and make some for yourself before nightfall!
