Parrying is one of the key mechanics in Ghostrunner 2 and will serve you well, especially against a particular enemy that wields Katanas. It’s a bit tricky to pull off, but I’ll explain how you can properly parry in Ghostrunner 2, and turn the tide in combat.
Parry in Ghostrunner 2
To parry in Ghostrunner 2, you need to hit the block button and hold it when the incoming attack lands instead of letting go immediately.
Here is a video demonstration of the parry.
Instead of letting go of the block button immediately, you need to hold it till the parry animation plays out. I struggled with this initially because I was parrying as you would in the first Ghostrunner or even Sekiro, but this is closer to Lies of P where you have to hold the button instead of tapping it.
After I figured out that I needed to hold the button for a few milliseconds, I never missed. It’s actually easier in a way since the block would play out even if you didn’t properly parry.
Make Parrying Easier
If you’re still struggling with parrying, I recommend unlocking the Smooth Moves ability in the SYSTEM category. This is one of the earlier unlocks and should be available to purchase in the opening levels.
This makes both parrying and deflecting way easier, and it has an install cost of just 3, which is the lower end.
We hope this guide was helpful, you can now parry with ease in Ghostrunner 2. Let us know if you have any questions in the comments below.
