Mortal Kombat 12 just got announced in an online earnings call with Warner Bros. It got a brief mention, and could have alluded to being part of the 2023 release cycle along with Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which could be big news, but it could also mean we should see more media about the game sooner rather than later.
Mortal Kombat 12 – The Klock Strikes 12
During an earnings call that happened a few moments ago, Warner Bros. quietly announced the title as part of the call.
The full quote goes:
“And we still have more platforms launching over the next few months. And there’s lots more to come including the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12, and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Games also set for release this year, with ambitious launch projections.”
Warner Bros. Earnings Call
Whether or not this means we are going to get Mortal Kombat 12 this year is still vague, as that could be up for interpretation, but considering this is the first and only time Warner Bros. has talked about the title, it could also mean that marketing for the game is about to massively amp up, particularly with the return of E3 this year, could be the best place to announce the title.
While details are still scarce on what we can expect to see from the title, and if it will be a cross-generation release, we will have to wait and see what lies in the future for the series.
