PlayStation just announced their first State of Play of the year and while it is a little sudden, the event will take place on Thursday, 23rd February 2023. However, there is not much of an emphasis on first-party titles, and rather a focus on PSVR titles, indie and third-party, and an extended look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
State of Play Returns But A Little Disappointing
The first State of Play for the year finally got announced and while the lineup is looking at the recently launched PSVR2 and titles from it, it’s also going to look at third-party, and indie titles. In addition, we will also get an extended look at the upcoming Suicide Squad that is set for release later this year.
You can read more about the State of Play here. While we only know that Spider-Man 2 is the singular first-party title that is aiming for a 2023 release so far for 2023, we would have liked to see more details on what PlayStation has in store for its consoles later this year as a single title in the fall may not be enough to keep fans happy.
We are still looking forward to see what the future holds for PlayStation in 2023.
