Resident Evil 4 Remake VR is already getting the VR treatment before the launch which has been unprecedented for a Resident Evil title thus far. Normally the VR announcement comes after the release of the game, but the official Resident Evil Japan handle has confirmed that VR support is indeed in development for the PSVR 2 as a free update.

According to the official Biohazard account, the upcoming title is already confirmed to be working on integrating VR with the current title. It will be a free update for the PSVR 2.

For that unaware, Biohazard is the name of Resident Evil in Japan. As such, this is the official news and possibly one of the reveals for tomorrow’s State of Play. While we do not know if VR will be a launch feature or not, we will have to wait and see. The PSVR 2 just released today and its already making a lot of noise on the internet.
The prospect of playing the Resident Evil 4 Remake in VR is definitely one that fans will love, especially since the original title was also ported to the Oculus Quest 2.
