Sons of the Forest has just been released for PC and we’ve already gotten our minds ready for what seems to be a night filled with terror and horror. If you are jumping on the bandwagon, we’ll be looking at download and install sizes for the Steam version of Sons of the Forest.
Sons of the Forest Download Size
Without a Day One patch, the game is coming in at a download size of 8.5 GB on Steam. As always, Steam offers compressed downloads, so you can expect the game to decompress to a size of about 13.3 GB before it is actually installed onto your system.
Sons of the Forest Install Size
According to system requirements, we were expecting a size of about 20 GB. However, from what it looks like, the game has boiled down to a measly 13.3 GB, shedding some of the initial we expected the game to have.
However, we still haven’t been met with a Day One patch, and from the looks of it, the game doesn’t seem to be doing too well when it comes to optimization, either. So, we can expect the game with the Day One patch applied to increase by ~1 GB or so.
