Card Shark is an adventure game from Nerial and Devolver Digital. This is a game about cheating, deceit, and using your cunning to play your opponents, rather than the cards themselves. So far, the reception has been extremely positive by both critics and fans. It runs beautifully on PC, but some users have reported a few bugs. If you are running into the Card Shark Softlock Issue, here are a few things you can try to fix that.
Card Shark Softlock Issue
A few users on Steam forums have reported that they’re running into random soft locks, and that can halt progress. This can be a bit frustrating, and you can lose a bunch of progress. The developers have acknowledged the problem, and have provided a workaround till they patch it. You can follow the suggestions below while you wait for a patch.
- Please “Restart Scene” or “Restart From Map”
Keyboard:
- Open the options menu by pressing Escape.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+9.
- Select “Restart Scene” or “Restart From Map”
Gamepad:
- Open the options menu by pressing Start.
- Hold the Select button down for 5 seconds.
- Select “Restart Scene” or “Restart From Map”
That’s all you can do for now, and it should get you out of any soft locks currently.
We’re unsure if this works on the Switch version as well, but there’s a chance that the gamepad suggestion might work for that too.
It isn’t uncommon for most titles to launch without bugs, and thankfully Steam forums make it easier for developers to know what players are running into.
Card Shark has an OpenCritic score of 80% right now, with a “Very Positive” rating from Steam users. Interested players can get the game on Steam and Nintendo Switch, with a 15% discount on Steam.
