A big part of Xbox’s marketing in 2022 was showing off games that would be available in the next 12 months. While the company was able to deliver on that promise in spades with the majority of the titles releasing according to plan, others have yet to. It seems that the upcoming Xbox Showcase will feature games coming in 2023, 2024, and even beyond.
Xbox Is No Longer Sticking To Next 12 Months Plan
Aaron Greenberg, VP of Xbox Games Marketing has confirmed on Twitter that the games shown at the upcoming June 11th Showcase will not feature the 12-month promise of last year, and perhaps the titles shown in the showcase will feature titles for 2023 and beyond.
We know that Starfield is slated for a September 2023 release date, but with fans equally excited for Hellblade 2, a title that continues to evade a release date from Microsoft, fans are hoping to hear more about titles coming after Starfield.
Aaron Greenberg also confirmed that the upcoming showcase will not feature any CGI trailers and will show off in-engine, in-game, or a combination of in-engine with cinematic.
The Xbox Showcase is now under a week away, and fans are excited about what is to come for Xbox for the upcoming months for the console.
