One look at the expansive open world of Forza Horizon 5 is enough to hint that the devs must have packed it with all sorts of secret cars and exploration rewards. And sure enough, that is the case with the Barn Find locations scattered around Mexico in Forza Horizon 5.
This guide will take a detailed look at how Barn finds work, mention all the Barn find locations you can come across in Forza Horizon 5, and tell you what rewards each Barn holds.
How Does a Barn Find Work in FH5?
Right, so before we start scouring the streets of Mexico in search of barns, let us discuss what each Barn find spot does.
The gigantic map of FH5 has 14 spots where you can go and trigger a cutscene to find an old/classic car in shambles. This car has to be restored before it can be used again.
Once you go to the locations mentioned in the image above, you’ll find a white barn building with a yellow door. Most barns are at the end of an off-beat path and require some hounding skills to locate.
Some barns are also hidden behind Expedition or challenge progression. But don’t worry; we’ll mention which ones are and how to complete those prerequisites.
Approaching this Barn will trigger a cutscene where you and another NPC will open the door, and they will tell you about the significance of the car inside. Most of these cars are connected to Mexico in some way and hold cultural importance.
Once the cutscene ends, the car will be taken for restoration and will return to the same Barn you found it in after some time. Then you can fast travel back to the Barn to claim your reward.

The first barn you’ll come across is part of a story mission in FH5. You’ll be accompanying Alejandra as she looks for her father’s old beetle car.
Start the Vocho storyline and get to the end of chapter two to find the Barn and unlock the 1963 Volkswagen Beetle. Once you find and restore the car, Alejandra will let you drive it.
Once you’ve finished all expeditions in the game and have reached the hall of fame, you can come back to this story and finish its final chapter to unlock a Forza Edition of the 1963 Beetle with pre-applied upgrades and performance bonuses.
BMW 2002 Turbo
Let’s start the official Barn hunt from the top of the map, where you’ll be able to find a BMW 2002 Turbo sedan. To locate this Barn, first, make your way to the area marked in the image above and then take a left to go off-road.
This entire area is covered with small hills and cavities that make it very easy for the Barn to blend in. Keep cruising in the vicinity until you spot a sort of sloppy area between 2 hills, and that’s where the Barn is.
Renault 4L Export
The second Barn find on our list requires you to complete the Baja Expedition and unlock your first house in FH5. Once you do that, the game will pass you a rumor pointing you toward an area where a barn might be.
Go to the location marked on the map above, and you’ll spot the Barn in the clearing pretty easily. You’ll find the Renault 4L Export in this Barn.
Porsche 911 Carrera RS
An easy find. Just fast travel to the road above the Barn’s location and then start going downhill. You’ll come across a thicket will lots of trees.
That’s where you’ll find the Barn that is hiding the ancient remains of a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS. Let the cutscene play out to send the car for restoration.
Ford Racing Escort RS1600
Next up is the Ford Racing Escort RS 1600. This barn find is locked behind a side objective in the Baja Expedition. To get the rumor, you must do the “Collect a sample from the Hot Spring Lake” by driving over the hot spring.
Once you do that, you’ll get the rumor, and the potential Barn find area will pop up on your map. To find the Barn, you’ll have to navigate the canyon around the volcano and find the Barn hidden in the middle-ish area of the canyon.
You’ll know you are on the right path if you come across an XP board. That board is marking the entrance of the off-beat path that leads to the Barn.
T100 Toyota Baja
Another easy-to-locate barn is located in the lower left region of the map. Go to the fields mentioned in the image above and start driving around the outer edge until you come across a building on the edge.
That would be the Barn find housing the 1993 T100 Toyota Baja truck.
Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback
You’ll have to go back to the twisty mountain roads again and start looking for the next Barn Find spot.
This one is relatively close to the main road and unlocks the Ford Mustang GT Fastback for avid Ford fans.
Ferrari 250 GTO
Probably one of the easiest Barn Find locations in Forza Horizon 5, this Barn holds the keys to the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO.
Go to the location marked on the map above and start trailing on the off-road until you come across a long wooden fence. Follow the wall, and it will take you straight to the Barn door.
Chevrolet Corvette 1953
The Chevrolet Corvette 1953 is hidden in a barn close to the main highway intersection. You’ll have to get off the main road and drive inland until you come across a building covered in trees from all sides.
Let the cutscene play out, and then the car will be sent for restoration work.
Ford F-100
We keep patrolling the farmlands for more Barn Finds. The next barn is located almost in the middle of the map – slightly to the right. You’ll find this barn next to a few houses on a slope.
Unlocking this Barn will grant you the 1956 Ford F-100 truck that came with a 4.5L Naturally Aspirated V8 engine.
Ferrari F40 Competizione
Take out your off-road cars for this one since you’ll be navigating the forests in search of the Ferrari F40-C.
The Barn can be located between 2 off-road tracks, perfectly nestled between some trees and fences.
Dodge Viper GTS ACR
If you want the 1999 Dodge Viper GTS with a V10 engine, this is the Barn you ought to be looking for. Lucky for you…this Barn is not that difficult to locate.
Go to the location marked on the map image above and start driving toward the clearing in the middle. You should be able to spot the Barn door after a while.
Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock
Another easy-to-find Barn that houses a monster. Near the clearing, you can find this barn just to the right of the main road.
You’ll unlock the Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock from this Barn. This classic car has a 7.0L engine capable of producing 425 brake horsepower. Just wait until it gets restored properly.
GMC Jimmy 1970
The second-last Barn on this list is also locked behind an objective you need to complete during the Tulum Expedition. When doing the Expedition, you’ll race Remy, who is in a plane and ends up crashing it in the forest temple area.
Once you reach the Jade Temple area, you’ll see a few side objectives on your screen, such as Find the Jade Statue, Reach the top of the Central Ruin, etc.
To unlock the Barn find rumor; you only need to drive on the ramp that will take you to the top of the ruin in the middle and then drive off the other side.
This stunt will complete the Reach the top of the Central Ruin objective and mark the rumored barn location on your map. This Barn houses the GMC Jimmy.
Drive into the dense river forest area at the bottom middle of the map to locate the Barn.
Jaguar Sport XJR 15
The last Barn on this list houses the remains of the Jaguar Sport XJR 15. You’ll have to play through the Jungle Expedition to unlock the rumor.
You have to complete the Find the Lost Barn Find notes objective during this Expedition to trigger the rumor. Completing this objective is very easy. You’ll see a purple barn find radius on the map.
