If you are new to the Souls genre, chances are that you don’t know how to go about investing your hard-earned currency in the different stats. This guide aims to explain all the different stats in Lords of the Fallen to help you better plan for your build and not waste any resources.
This goes hand in hand with choosing the right starting class in LOTF. Once you know what each stat does, you’ll be able to make an informed decision and start with the right footing. So, let’s get into it!
Stats in Lords of the Fallen
You will be able to upgrade a total of 6 different stats in LOTF. Each stat corresponds to different aspects of your build. Let’s take a look at this handy table to figure out which stat does what.
Stat | What it Does |
---|---|
Strength | Your standard physical attack stat. Adding points to STR will increase physical damage and allow the players to wield heavier weapons. Classes like the Udirangr Warwolf scale well on Strength. |
Agility | This can be considered as the Dexterity stat of LOTF. You’ll be able to buff the damage of lightweight weapons and ranged weapons like bows, crossbows, etc. by dumping points in the Agility stat. |
Endurance | Endurance caters to your character’s stamina, equipment load, and the ability to wear heavy armor without being encumbered. |
Vitality | Upgrading Vitality increases your HP bar and also increases resistance to Bleed in LOTF. |
Radiance | The magic stat is divided into 2 sub-stats. Radiance allows you to deal more damage while wielding Radiance Catalysts. |
Inferno | Inferno is the second magic sub-stat in LOTF. Increasing Inferno buffs your damage while wielding Catalysts that scale on this stat. Increasing Inferno and Radiance also increases your overall Mana. |
Resistances in Lords of the Fallen
Now that you know about the main stats in LOTF, we can talk about the different status effects you’ll be enduring and causing during your adventures across Axiom & Umbral.
Resistances | Effect |
---|---|
Smite | Smite means Holy damage in LOTF. You can inflict Smite by using Radiance-based Catalysts. |
Bleed | Bleed is obvious. You can imbue your weapons in Blood to deal bleed damage. |
Burn | Fire can cause burn damage to enemies and deplete their HP quickly. |
Ignite | Similar to Smite, Ignite can be caused by using Inferno-based Catalysts. It is a burst of fire damage that quickly kills those affected. |
Frostbite | Frostbite will freeze the enemy. When applied to enemies, their posture bar will break very easily as it’ll immediately get halved. When applied to yourself, your stamina will deplete rapidly as it’ll get halved once Frostbite is applied. |
Poison | Poison is what poison always has been. It is dangerous and will kill you quickly once the meter fills up. Avoid it. |
Now that you understand the Stats and Resistances of Lords of the Fallen, you’ll be able to properly plan the kind of build you want and invest in the right stat from the get-go. Keep checking WIG for more LOTF content, and good luck on your escapade through Axiom & Umbral.
