Amnesia: The Bunker was revealed a few weeks ago, and it was a game that not many people were expecting. While it’s the tried and true formula of having the protagonist navigate a scary environment, the new addition to the formula here is the addition of a gun, however, that gun also comes with scarce ammo to boot. In Amnesia: The Bunker First Gameplay Clip, we have a look at how gunplay adds to the terror.

The Amnesia series is one of the newest entries to the horror genre, starting with 2010’s Amnesia: The Dark Descent reviving the scene and being one of the most popular let’s plays for gaming YouTubers then to play. From there, Frictional Games has made regular entries into the series with the latest entry to the series being 2020’s Amnesia: Rebirth.

Amnesia: The Bunker, is the latest entry to the series and introduces a new mechanic to the series that has never been seen before – a gun.

While horror games and guns are not an entirely novel idea, when you combine the creepy atmosphere of Amnesia games combined with the echoing and tight hallways of a bunker, it does set up an interesting premise for what could be one of the scariest places to use the weapon.

The first gameplay clip is brief but to the point. The player will have to carefully choose how to use their weapon as the bullet can be the difference between fighting off a monster or opening a door needed for continuing the story.

We can’t wait to hear more about Amnesia: The Bunker when it releases in 2023 for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Game Pass.
