In this article, we’ll be exploring GTA 5’s collection of JDM vehicles. For those that do not know what a JDM vehicle is, we’ll briefly explain. JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market, which includes classic brands such as Nissan, Honda, Lexus, Toyota, and Mitsubishi. JDM cars were part of the 90s Japanese car culture, which involved heavily modifying and customizing Japanese-produced sports cars. Rockstar has added many cars inspired by those found in the Japanese Domestic Market. Today we’ll be exploring the very best.
Sadly, we haven’t really seen any JDM SUVs entering GTA Online. But, with that said, let’s begin!
Annis Elegy Retro Custom
While not the fastest car in GTA V, the Annis Elegy Retro Custom is a JDM vehicle added to GTA Online as part of the 1.37 Import/Export Update in 2016. The Retro Custom is a modified version of the Elegy RH8 and is based on the Skyline GT-R34. Therefore, it is an excellent car to modify into Paul Walker’s Skyline.
First, you’ll have to purchase the Elegy RH8 for $95,000, and then head to Benny’s Original Motor Works to convert it into the Elegy Retro Custom for an additional $904,000. Once converted and fully upgraded you’ll be able to reach speeds of 115.25 mph. It may not be the fastest, but it is an amazing car inspired by one of the most iconic cars in the JDM scene, the Skyline GT-R.
Dinka Blista Kanjo
Speed: 109.25 mph
The Dinka Blista Kanjo is a JDM Compact car added to GTA Online as part of the 2020s 1.49 Diamond Casino Heist and is based on the Honda Civic Type R EK9. How cool will you look whipping your weapons out of this bad boy?
You can purchase the Blista Kanjo from Southern S.A. Super Autos for $580,000 and customize it at Los Santos Customs. Here you can fully upgrade the Blista Kanjo for an additional $476,654. However, you will only reach speeds of 109.25 mph. Therefore, the choice to fully upgrade is down to preference. As this is not a Tuners Vehicle it is unlikely you’ll need to bother fully upgrading this JDM car.
Dinka Jester Classic
Speed: 119. 75 mph
The Dinka Jester Classic is a JDM vehicle added to GTA Online as part of the 1.44 After Hours Update in 2018. The Jester Classic is based on the real-life Toyota Supra MK IV. The Jester also made an appearance in GTA San Andreas.
You’ll have to head to Los Santos Customs to purchase the Jester Classic for $790,000. Here you can upgrade the Jester Classic to benefit from its 119.75 mph top speed. To fully upgrade the Jester Classic will cost you an additional $377,550 on top of the initial $790,000.
Annis Elegy RH8
Speed: 118.50 mph
The Annis Elegy RH8 has been an iconic Grand Theft Auto V JDM car, having been in the game since its launch. You will find this vehicle in both Story and Online modes, with it being based on the real-life Nissan GTR35. Therefore, this is one of the most iconic JDM cars available.
You can purchase the Elegy RH8 from Legendary Motorsports for $95,000 and customize it at Benny’s Original Motor Works, or Los Santos Customs. Fully customizing the RH8 will cost you an additional $318,140. This is a reasonably fast JDM car, coming in at roughly 118.50 mph.
Whilst many might find this car old, due to the length of time it has been available, at just over $400,000 this is a must-have for any JDM car collector in GTA Online.
The Annis ZR350 is a JDM car that was added to GTA Online as part of the 1.57 Los Santos Tuners update in 2021. It is based on the real-life 1992-2002 Mazda RX-7.
You can purchase the ZR350 from Legendary Motorsports for $1,615,000. You can then customize the ZR350 at Los Santos Customs or LS Car Meet Mod Shop. Once upgraded, you can reach top speeds of 117.50 mph. This will cost you an additional $664,089.
The ZR350 is a beautiful, heavily customizable drift JDM car worth every penny!
Karin Sultan RS
Speed: 117.25 mph
The Karin Sultan RS is a JDM car that was added to GTA Online as part of the 1.32 January 2016 update. This stunning JDM car is based on the Subaru Impreza, an absolute classic car.
As this is a custom vehicle, you will need to purchase the Karin Sultan for $12,000 from Benny’s Original Motor Works. Once purchased you can upgrade the Karin Sultan to the Karin Sultan RS for an additional $795,000. You can then upgrade this vehicle fully to maximize its stats and obtain a high speed of 117.25 mph, this will cost you an additional $481,619. However, the price is worth it just for the iconic look alone.
Karin Sultan RS Classic
Speed: 117.50 mph
The Karin Sultan RS Classic is a JDM vehicle that was added to GTA Online as part of the 1.57 Los Santos Tuners update in 2021. This classic car is based on the Subaru Impreza 22B STI.
You’ll be able to purchase the Sultan RS Classic from S.A. Super Autos for $1,789,000. You can then fully upgrade the vehicle to reach speeds of 117.50 mph, this will cost you an additional $598,886.
A fantastic feature of this car is the ability to lower the stance of the vehicle, have low-grip tires, and make the car slide more during drifts. It’s a true drifters car!
Karin Calico GTF
Speed: 121.25 mph
The Karin Calico GTF is a JDM Sports car added to GTA Online as part of the 2021 1.57 Los Santos Tuners update and is based on the real Toyota Celica.
You can purchase the Calico GFT from Southern S.A. Super Autos for a whopping $1,995,000. Once upgrade it can also reach speeds of 121.25 mph, but this will cost you an additional $664,914.
However, the reason for this JDM car being so expensive is because it is a Tuners Vehicle, which means its stance, grip, and drift can be tuned to various settings. Therefore, the price is not bad for the additional level of customization that you will be able to enjoy.
Speed: 116.50 mph
The Annis Euros is a JDM Sports car that was added to GTA Online as part of the 2021 1.57 Los Santos Tuners and is based on the Nissan 350Z and the Nissan 370Z.

The Euros is a great sporty JDM car, with Tuner Vehicle customization, but it is by far one of the most expensive on this list to purchase and upgrade, costing a total of $2,449,315. Therefore, the main selling point for this vehicle is merely cosmetic.
Speed: 115.50 mph
The Annis Remus (brilliant name) is a JDM Sports car that was added to GTA Online as part of 2021’s 1.57 Lost Santos Tuners update and is based on the Nissan Silvia S13.
You can purchase the Remus from Southern S.A. Super Autos for $1,370,000; definitely no small amount. You will then need to spend an additional $709,157 to fully upgrade the Remus so that you can enjoy the 115.50 mph top speed.
Like the Calico GTF, the Remus is a Tuners Vehicle and therefore can be customized and tuned more than non-tuner vehicles. So whilst this may seem like an expensive JDM car, you can definitely justify its price when considering its customization.
Karin Futo GTX
Speed: 119.25 mph
The Karin Futo GTX is a JDM Sports car added to GTA Online as part of the 1.57 Los Santos Tuners update. The GTX is a variant of the Futo that is based on the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86.
You can purchase the Futo GTX from Southern S.A. Super Autos for $1,590,000; you do not need to own the standard Futo to do so. Once purchased you can customize and upgrade the Futo GTX at Los Santos Customs. When fully upgraded the Futo GTX can reach speeds of 119.75 mph. However, this will cost you an additional $641,868.
Luckily, like the Remus and Calico, the Futo GTX is a Tuner Vehicle. Therefore, you can benefit from the great customization options available to this type of vehicle, more than justifying the price.
