Everyone is already freaking out about CS2. With the new engine comes improvements to performance, graphics, and of course, skin models. Luckily, all your skins and everything in your inventory will transfer over to CS2.

This is why I’ve decided to create a list of the 8 best CS2 skins. The graphical improvements will definitely make these skins look way better than they do in CS:GO.

1

Butterfly Knife | Marble Fade

A photo of the best looking skin in CS2, the Butterfly Knife Marble Fade.

Date released: March 15, 2017
Price range: $2,170.00 – $2,295.00
Case: Spectrum and Spectrum 2 Cases

The top spot and the honor of the best looking skin in CS2 belong to the Butterfly Knife Marble Fade. This is an absolutely gorgeous knife skin that already looks amazing in CS:GO, and would, without a doubt, look even better in CS2.

The new engine will definitely help the multiple colors on the Butterfly Knife Marble Fade pop out. The new shine will be blinding, and everyone will bask in the knife’s glory. It’s something that should be on the top of your list if you’re looking to buy skins before CS2 releases.

2

Karambit | Doppler

A photo of the Karambit Doppler.

Date released: January 8, 2015
Price range: $1,175.00 – $1,205.00
Case: Chroma, Chroma 2, and Chroma 3 Cases

Next up, we have another color-filled knife skin in the Karambit Doppler. Full-colored ones like the Ruby, Sapphire, or Black Pearl would look better than the other Phases, but they should all look stunning in CS2. So it really doesn’t matter which Phase you can get, as long as you have one.

Like the Marble Fade, the colors on the Karambit Doppler will be enhanced on CS2. The shiny surface would receive and reflect light better, improving the overall look of the Doppler effect. It’s something that you simply can’t go wrong with and should fit right along any other skins you might have.

3

Falchion | Gamma Doppler

A photo of the Falchion Gamma Doppler.

Date released: September 21, 2021
Price range: $355.00 – $410.00
Case: Dreams & Nightmares and Operation Riptide Cases

Now, I promise that this is the last knife skin on the list. The Falchion Gamma Doppler is going to surprise everyone with the glow-up it’s about to receive in CS2. An Emerald Phase Gamma Doppler would look insanely good with all but the hinge being painted. Don’t sleep on the other Phases, though.

The smoky pattern, the wild textures, and the green colors will all look excellent under the new light that CS2 brings. The Falchion Gamma Doppler is also the cheapest knife here, so it’s the one you should pick up if you’re on a budget.

4

AK-47 | Case Hardened

A photo of the AK-47 Case Hardened skin.

Date released: August 14, 2013
Price range: $145.00 – $670.00
Case: CS:GO Weapon Case

The AK-47 Case Hardened is another solid pick because of its metallic look. The patches of gold, blue, and purple are going to look even better in CS2. Those burn marks will be more noticeable, and the shine will definitely be top-tier.

At this point, you’ve probably already noticed a trend. Shiny and metallic finishes are the skins that will look great in CS2. You honestly can’t go wrong with choosing Dopplers, Fades, Gamma Dopplers, and Case Hardened skins because they will all receive a huge upgrade.

5

AK-47 | Nightwish

Date released: August 14, 2013
Price range: $7.70 – $315.00
Case: Dreams & Nightmares Case

The AK-47 Nightwish is another solid choice if you’re in it for the colors. This skin brings color to the game like no other. It features these psychedelic waves and spirals with cyan, magenta, purple, and orange colors.

It also features a creepy-looking creature at the center, along with a dreamcatcher near the buttstock of the weapon. Overall, expect all of the colors to pop when light is reflected on them in CS2.

6

Glock-18 | Gamma Doppler

Date released: September 21, 2021
Price range: $21.00 – $42.00
Case: N/A

At the 6th spot, we have yet another Gamma Doppler skin. This time it’s the Glock-18 Gamma Doppler. The skin features a solid slide covered in various shades of metallic green paint. We already know how good metallics will look in CS2.

The skin’s smoke-like texture will also help provide a bit of extra detail to the pistol. Of course, the pure Emerald Phase would be the go-to pick here. However, the other Phases should all look good in CS2 as well.

7

M4A1-S | Printstream

A photo of the M4A1-S Printstream.

Date released: December 3, 2020
Price range: $99.00 – $870.00
Case: Operation Broken Fang Case

The M4A1-S Printstream is an incredibly sleek and clean skin. It looks excellent in CS2 because of its pearly white finish and the holographic pictograms and inscriptions. You can’t go wrong with the M4A1-S Prinstream because of its very neutral colorway.

The skin can get pretty expensive, though. Luckily, it can be found inside the Operation Broken Fang Case, which is a solid case to open in CS:GO.

8

AWP | Sun in Leo

A photo of the AWP Sun in Leo skin.

Date released: May 26, 2015
Price range: $10.00 – $24.00
Case: N/A

Concluding our list of the best CS2 skins, we have the AWP Sun in Leo skin. It has this dark blue, nearly purple color that should look great when sunlight shines on it. The zodiac map, along with various astrological symbols and signs, can also be found on the weapon.

Overall, it’s the cheapest skin on our list, topping off at around $24. This makes the top choice if you’re looking for a great CS2 skin on a budget. Unfortunately, it can’t be found inside any cases since it was a part of the Gods and Monsters Collection. So visit the marketplace if you’re looking to get the AWP Sun in Leo for yourself.

Conclusion

The Butterfly Knife Marble Fade claims the top spot on our list of the best looking skins in CS2 because of its colorful design, great base knife type, and stunning looks.
