Best Ranged Weapons in Warhammer 40K Darktide

Since Warhammer 40K Darktide has released, players are having a blast playing the game. There are a lot of weapons – new and old – in Darktide that you can use to destroy anyone standing in your way. If you are a fan of ranged weapons, this guide will show you the best ranged weapons in Warhammer 40K Darktide.

Due to the improved ranged combat of the game, using guns feels amazing. You can eliminate strong enemies before they can get close to you and your team. Depending on your class, you would want to only use ranged weapons to deal with all types of enemies. With that said, let’s dive right in and get started.

Warhammer 40K Darktide: Best Ranged Weapons

Darktide features a large variety of ranged weapons that you can use. All weapons are great to use but not all of them are worth keeping. So, if you get the chance, make sure that you use the weapons mentioned below and see how good they are.

Keep in mind that some of the weapons mentioned will only be class-specific, and you won’t be able to use them for all characters. Regardless, you should try whichever weapon you can to find the ideal loadout.

We will update this list once we have more experience with the game. Also, keep in mind that while this list is numbered, it doesn’t mean that the last weapon is the “worst”. You can still use it to get amazing results and it might outperform other weapons on this list.

Artemia Mk III Purgation Flamer

While this might be a bit of a controversial pick, the best ranged weapon is the Artemia Mk III Purgation Flamer. It is a weapon that Zealots can use and it deals an insane amount of damage. Plus, if you are a fan of the Warhammer 40K series, you will know that this is an iconic weapon.

It is ideal for dealing with hordes of Poxwalkers. Due to the Darktide’s suppression system, you can keep all ranged enemies at bay without any issues. Plus, you can stun a lot of enemies to ensure that your team can melee them without losing their HP.

Want to know the best part? This flamer does not overheat which means that you can keep using it until you run out of ammo. Plus, you don’t have to worry about damaging your team since friendly fire is quite forgiving in Darktide.

Foe-Rend Mk VI Ripper Gun

The Foe-Rend Mk VI Ripper Gun is one of my favorite ranged weapons in Darktide. You can equip this massive shotgun with the Ogryn class. This gun can do it all, whether you prefer ranged combat or melee. If enemies get too close for comfort, you can use the large knife attached to the front of this Ripper Gun to slice them up.

Alternatively, you can use its firepower to shred through enemies without a second thought. The best part is that the Foe-Rend Mk VI has a high fire rate which allows you to destroy hordes quickly. Plus, thanks to the insane damage and collateral, you shouldn’t have any issues against Elites or Specialists.

Kantrael MG Ia Infantry Lasgun

Moving on to our first Lasgun on the list, the Kantrael MG la Infantry. As you can see in the image above, this gun has absolutely insane stats. It is easily one of the best ranged weapons in Warhammer 40K Darktide. This weapon has tons of damage that can easily destroy Elites or Specialists.

On top of that, you also get a good magazine capacity, great stopping power, and tons of recoil control as well. This weapon has everything you would hope for in the game. Plus, you can easily hip-fire it while moving around as well. Use this Lasgun to take out hordes or other strong enemies without any worries.

Accatran Mk VId Recon Lasgun

The Accatran Mk VId Recon Lasgun deals a lot of damage.

Moving on to the Accatran Mk VId Recon Lasgun, it deals a lot of damage and has tons of ammo as well. This is one of the better Lasguns in the game and the stats speak for themselves. You can also fire this weapon while moving around and dodging enemies.

If you are surrounded by a horde, you can whip out this bad boy to deal with them thanks to its insane damage and swift fire rate. The major downside is that the stability isn’t the best; which in turn, causes you to have bad recoil control.

If you can manage the recoil, you will have a great time with this weapon. The magazine holds 104 bullets at one time which is a great number of bullets. You won’t have to reload as often and even if you do, the reload speed is quite generous.

Lawbringer Mk. IV Combat Shotgun

The Lawbringer is a strong weapon

My love for shotguns knows no bounds and the Lawbringer delivers! This combat shotgun has a lot of damage and a surprisingly good fire rate as well. Plus, your stopping power will shred through enemies without any issues. Due to its lightweight, you also have a lot of mobility which is always a nice thing.

However, the stability of this weapon isn’t the best which means that you have to worry about the recoil if you are not careful. Other than that, the overall ammo is a bit low but that shouldn’t be a problem in most cases. You can use this weapon to take care of multiple enemies in front of you.

Just be careful of the long reload time which can cause a lot of problems if you are in the middle of a horde or a fight.

Nomanus Mk VI Surge Force Staff

The Nomanus Mk VI Surge Force Staff is unique to the Psyker Psykinetic class, and it is one of the best staves in the game. It is a Force Staff – specifically the Surge staff – and it has a decent amount of damage. The main appeal of this weapon is its stun build-up that can allow you to charge up the final blow while the enemy cannot move.

Plus, this is quite useful for your team as well since you can stun multiple enemies. Apart from this, you can build up your critical bonus thanks to the available traits of this weapon and its overall stats. Since it allows you to hip-fire while sprinting, you will have a lot of mobility while keeping the enemy at bay.

Ius Mk. II Shredder Auto Pistol

This Autopistol doesn't mess around

Are you a fan of swift fire rate guns with a large magazine capacity? Well, this Auto Pistol allows you to fulfill your dreams. It deals a decent amount of damage but if you combine that with your high fire rate, this weapon will shred through enemies.

The best part is that due to its lightweight, you can easily sprint around while hip-firing. While that won’t be as accurate as standing still and firing, it still gets the job done. However, the only drawback is that this weapon isn’t that good against armored units since it doesn’t have a lot of stopping power.

Kantrael MG IV Infantry Lasgun

The MG IV has good stopping power and damage.

As you can probably tell, I love Lasguns in Darktide. The Kantrael MG IV Infantry Lasgun has a good amount of damage and offers great stopping power as well. You can use this to take out armored enemies quickly. On top of that, you also get decent mobility which allows you to bob and weave.

However, the recoil control isn’t the best which makes it difficult to stabilize in difficult situations. If you fire this weapon while moving around, you will have a tough time getting headshots on enemies. The ammo capacity is quite nice, though. It allows you to spray and pray without worrying about reloading.

Rifthaven Mk II Purgatus Force Staff

The Rifthaven is a solid staff that has good burn damage

Let’s give some love to staves as well since they are quite nice in Darktide. The Rifthaven Mk II Purgatus Force Staff is a great choice since it offers decent damage and a lot of burn damage. Plus, your Secondary Attack cannot be interrupted if you upgrade the Focused Channeling trait. This allows you to cast your Secondary Attack without any worries of getting disrupted.

If your team is surrounded by enemies, you can use this staff to burn all enemies around you. While it won’t deal tons of damage instantly, all enemies hit by your attacks will take damage over time. This can also give your team a chance to take them out before the situation gets stickier.

Graia Mk IV Braced Autogun

This Autogun does tons of damage and has good recoil control.

Finally, let’s talk about the Graia Mk IV Braced Autogun. This weapon has an insane amount of damage and tons of stability as well. You can move around while firing without having to worry about the recoil. Plus, it has a great fire rate which allows you to take care of a large number of enemies in quick succession.

If you want even more fire rate, you can use its secondary function. While the weapon works great from long range, it is ideal at medium/close range. You can easily take out enemies like Elites or Specialists if you fight them up close. Getting headshots is also quite easy thanks to the increased accuracy and stability.

And there you have it; those are the best ranged weapons in Warhammer 40K Darktide. The game has a lot of variety in ranged weapons, and all of them feel amazing! However, the ones mentioned above will give you the best results and allow you to kill a lot of enemies.
