Remembrances are items that you get after defeating the major bosses in Elden Ring. The game features tons of demigods and other main bosses that you will encounter. Once you get their Remembrance, you can buy their weapons or other gear. That is why this guide will show you the best Remembrances to duplicate in Elden Ring.
Since most bosses have two things that you can collect, you will have to duplicate the Remembrance or you won’t be able to obtain them both. With that said, let’s dive right in and get started.
Elden Ring: Which Remembrance to Duplicate?
As aforementioned, the game has a lot of Remembrances that you can use. However, not all of them are worth it since the other weapon or gear they offer isn’t nearly worth the trouble. While you might not agree with all the picks on this list, we have tried out all the options and selected these since they offer great gear.
Elden Remembrance
Both the Sacred Sword and Marika’s Hammer are strong weapons that you should absolutely try. However, to get them, you will have to duplicate the Elden Remembrance that you get after defeating Radgon/Elden Beast.
While you won’t be able to enjoy these weapons in your current playthrough, I suggest that you duplicate the Remembrance and get them both before starting NG+.
This will give you access to some of the most powerful weapons at the start of your next playthrough and you can use them all you want.
Remembrance of the Blasphemous
Rykard’s Remembrance is extremely useful since it not only allows you to get a powerful weapon but also a sorcery that deals an insane amount of damage. Using this spell will force all enemies around you to retreat or take tons of damage.
If you are playing solo, enemies won’t roll away which will cause them to die thanks to your spell. Plus, the Blasphemous Blade is a cool-looking greatsword that has a unique look. If you are doing PvP, your opponents will surely fear you due to how intimidating this weapon looks. The best part about this weapon is that its skill heals 10% of your max HP plus a base 150 HP upon each hit of an enemy.
Remembrance of the Black Blade
After defeating Maliketh the Black Blade, you can unlock his Remembrance and collect either the weapon or the Incarnation. I suggest that you get them both since they go hand in hand. The weapon itself is superb but the Incantation allows you to perform the spinning slash attack that Maliketh did in phase 2.
Plus, it also emits a wave of light at the end which deals damage to anyone hit by it.
Remembrance of Hoarah Loux
This Remembrance is unlocked after defeating Godfrey/Hoarah Loux. Once you unlock it, you can either get the Axe of Godfrey or the Ash of War. Both of these are amazing choices since they deal tons of damage and are quite useful in most cases.
However, if you want both of them, make sure that you duplicate this Remembrance and enjoy the best of both worlds.
Remembrance of the Dragonlord
This is a great Remembrance that you should duplicate. It comes with a spell that has the fastest attack startup in the game as far as spells go. Plus, it will kill anyone that comes in contact with it thanks to its insane damage.
This also comes with a weapon that is worth getting simply for the fact that it’s unique. The weapon not only looks cool but also has amazing stats as well. While some players might skip out on this Remembrance, I suggest that you at least try out the spell since it is superb.
Remembrance of the Starscourge
After you finally defeat General Radahn, you will gain the Remembrance of the Starscourge. This is a great item to have and I highly suggest that you duplicate it. This will allow you to get Radahn’s legendary swords and Great Bow.
Both of these weapons are extremely useful and will be great tools in your arsenal. Whether you are a melee player or prefer to use bows before going in, you will certainly want to get both of these items in your inventory.
Remembrance of the Rot Goddess
Finally, you absolutely need to duplicate Malenia’s Remembrance. The Remembrance of the Rot Goddess allows you to get either the Hand of Malenia or the Scarlet Aeonia. For those who have defeated Malenia, you’ll know how annoying and strong this ability is.
This allows you to perform the ability she does at the start of her phase 2. You will jump in the air and come crashing down. Plus, a large area of effect attack will also trigger that deals a lot of damage and causes Scarlet Rot to build up on all enemies hit by it.
How to Duplicate Remembrances
Now that we’ve talked about which Remembrances are worth duplicating, let’s take a look at how you can duplicate them. Over the course of the game, you might have come across a few Walking Mausoleums. These are large rock creatures with four legs.
You might also have noticed that some of them have bells attached to them while others do not. The ones that have bells attached to them will allow you to duplicate Remembrances whereas the other ones will not. So, make sure that you go to the Walking Mausoleums that have bells underneath them.
Also, keep in mind that you can replicate only one Remembrance per mausoleum. If you want to replicate multiple Remembrances, you need to find another mausoleum.
Conclusion
That’s everything you need to know about the best Remembrances to duplicate in Elden Ring. There are many options to choose from and all of them offer great rewards. However, some Remembrances are better to duplicate since they allow you to obtain better weapons or gear.
