Surfing in CS:GO has been around for a long time. CS:GO players often surf to pass the time or as a way to get away from the stressful rank environment for a while. Before, you had to join a custom surf server to enjoy surfing. Nowadays, it’s much easier because everything is found within the Steam Workshop.

So, we’ve decided to create a list of the 8 best surf maps in CS:GO. These maps are perfect regardless of whether you’re new to surfing or a veteran.

First up, we have Surf for Points. We chose Surf for Points as our top spot because of its incredible look and its well-designed nature. It’s so good to the point that it feels like an entirely different game whenever you enter the map.

Surf for Points features a colorful and futuristic surf map. It allows you to score points by collecting various items scattered all around the map. There are a ton of obstacles, turns, and unique angles, making it a great map for both newbies and veterans alike. Want to know the best part? There are other versions of the map, all the way to Surf for Points V. All are made with the same top-tier quality.

Next up, we have a map perfect for players who are looking to learn the ropes of CS:GO surfing. The surf_beginner map was created in 2016, but the basics of CS:GO surfing have remained the same, making it still a relevant map. It provides players with a series of simple levels, gradually getting harder as you progress.

The surf_beginner map helps players learn the basics while having fun in the process. To help you speed up the process, the creator also linked a YouTube video that explains the basics of CS:GO surfing. Make sure to check it out if you’re having trouble.

This next map is the perfect map to enjoy summer vacation. It features maps with a variety of themes, including the beach, a skatepark, a waterpark, and even underwater. Everything about this map should remind you about summer, even those sweet popsicles that keep you cool from the hot breeze.

Overall, all of the levels are well-designed and provide something exciting to the table. The difficulty level isn’t that hard, making it an excellent choice no matter your skill level when it comes to surfing. It’s also a map sponsored by Fnatic, and the budget was definitely well spent, as seen from the attention to detail and high-quality level that the team put into creating the map.

The surf_angst map is the newest map on our list since it was released in early 2022. It may not be as nostalgic as some of the older maps we have on the list, but it definitely brings some much-needed modernness to the world of CS:GO surfing.

All of the levels are incredibly well-made. They all feature unique designs with futuristic themes that are simply out of this world. It’s one of the best surf maps to play if you’re looking to chill after spending hours on aim training. It’s honestly one of my favorite ones on the list.

If you’re looking for color, then the surf_cyberwave is the best surf map for you. It features a super vibrant design that will give even the most color-filled weapon skins a run for their money. Everywhere you look, colors are just popping all around.

It ain’t all about the looks, though. The surf_cyberwave map presents tough and challenging levels that will test how good you truly are at surfing. It also has this racetrack-like vibe to it, especially with all the turns, jumps, and corners you’ll have to face.

The Surf Greatriver 2015 map is another old yet great map that I’m sure a lot of veterans will know. The original version of the map was created by Black, but the one available on the Steam Workshop is a remake by GamingRevenant that added a ton of aesthetic designs and made it a bit more personality to it.

It’s a relatively small surf map, especially when compared o others on the list. However, it does have a ton of great ramps that will have you entertained for hours.

The final map today will have you nostalgic about your childhood memories. The surf_hotwheels map features ramps, walls, and obstacles, all inspired by Hot Wheels tracks. What better way to enjoy surfing in CS:GO than to pretend you’re a matchbox car.

The map also features different levels that take you all around the house. Everything from the game room, the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen, and even the yard. It’s definitely a unique concept that is unlike any other map in CS:GO.

Conclusion

The best surf map in CS:GO is none other than the Surf for Points map. It’s incredibly well-made, brings a ton of uniqueness to the surfing genre, and allows you to play PVP with your friends. Not to mention that it’s part of an entire series of maps, giving you numerous hours of surfing fun.
