Yesterday was a cumbersome day for YouTubers and content creators on different platforms. All of them finally got to open the mystery boxes sent to them by Activision and while the story itself is long and complicated, the creators worked together to solve the puzzle and find what is potentially the secret website where Call of Duty 2020 could be unveiled.

Call of Duty 2020 website reveal could be very soon

With the mystery solved within hours of opening the boxes, the site pawntakespawn has been discovered.

This is all that’s viewable on the website at the moment, and we aren’t sure what timezone the 12:00 is counting from.

The website is indeed Activision’s. The footer links all lead to Activision pages.

So far, the creators who solved the mystery have confirmed that a video will play on the 14th of August, the coming Friday.

Activision is leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for fans and creators alike, so far, all of this is indicative of a Black Ops soft reboot in the same taste as the 2019 Modern Warfare Reboot.

Even more mysterious, Treyarch studios updated their header image on Twitter to this image:

These are some very confusing times we live in and it seems that this is a first for Activision to play such high-tier mind games with fans regarding the announcement of a new Call of Duty game.

Normally, Activision would outright just put out a teaser or a peek via social media, but this year seems like they’re shaking up the strategy and flipping the script on everyone.

As long as the result of all these efforts is a new Call of Duty game headed for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, by the end of the year, fans are going to be quite satisfied with the outcome.

For now, all we can do is wait for new information in-between and see what happens from there.

With still no proper update to share regarding anything conclusive, Call of Duty 2020 is still one of the years biggest mysteries to crack.

Despite the numerous leaks the game has gone through, Activision insists of playing cloak and dagger with its reveal.
