Call of Duty Black Ops Leaked title card hints at a remaster

Earlier today we covered what could be Call of Duty 2020 appearing on a PSN directory site, however it seems that dataminers got even deeper with the package files. It seems that the Call of Duty Black Ops Leaked title card could be a remaster or a reboot of the series. The screen before the main menu where you proceed to the main menu by pressing Options or other buttons to get past it has just been leaked.

Call of Duty Black Ops Leaked title card hints at a possible remaster

It seems that the original reports of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War could be questioned. A leaked title card for the game shows us a first look at the game just being called Call of Duty Black Ops. The 2010 title that kickstarted the series.

The image was taken from one of the packages files from the ealier leak:

To further provide veracity to the claim, another twitter user chimed in and stated that this is how the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 logo got leaked out in the wild as well.

As such, we are now questioning on whether Activision is looking to reboot the Black Ops series like they did with 2019’s Modern Warfare. Considering the massive success the reboot saw, it would be prudent of Activision to pursue such a bold route.

While original reports from several credible leakers did confirm that the game would be titled Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, it seems that those rumors might be brought into questions with this development.

For now, all we can do is wait and see what unfolds. As Activision is still hush on a Call of Duty reveal, we will have to wait and see on whether we are getting a remaster of the 2010 original, or is it a full on reboot of the series.

Considering the dwindling fan approval of the recent Black Ops entries, it would help Activision to give the Black ops series a fresh coat of paint with a reboot. Leaked title card could go in any direction from here, but we will have to wait for an official announcement from Activision.

Currently, there is a rumor that the game will get a reveal on this Thursday during the PS5 event. The reveal is also rumored to tie into Modern Warfare and Warzone too. Let’s see how all this unfolds.
