Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been rated by the Taiwanese rating board. The rating helped in revealing the name, description and platforms the game is scheduled for. The game is currently slated for a release on the PS4 and Xbox One, who’s to say that a next-gen port isn’t also in the cards?

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time – Coming soon

A few days ago we reported on the prospect of a new Crash Bandicoot game. It seems that today is the day we get first details about the game.

An early rating for the game was listed on the Taiwan games rating board. First spotted by Gematsu. The rating was done for the PS4 and Xbox One, but there is still hope for the Xbox Series X and PS5 version of the game.

The game is being developed by the Spyro Reignited Trilogy developer, Toys for Bob. They did a magnificent job with the remaster, so the game is without a doubt in exceptionally capable hands.

Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.

According to Daniel Ahmad, a renowned gaming industry figure, the game is going to be fully revealed on the 22nd of June.

A brand new entry in the Crash Bandicoot series is definitely a welcome change. The series has only seen remasters of the original PS1 games thus far, so a new entry is definitely something fans will look forward to.

While the game has only been rated for the current generation of consoles, we can hope that the game is getting a PS5 and Xbox Series X version as well. Considering how close the game is being made to the release of the new console generation.
