Tekken 8 is finally out on PC and is an excellent Unreal Engine 5 release that runs great on various PC configurations. While there are plenty of options to tweak, a few post-processing options can’t be adjusted in the graphics settings. If you want to improve the overall image quality, you can disable the chromatic aberration effect in Tekken 8, and here is how.

Disable the Chromatic Aberration Effect in Tekken 8

Chromatic aberration is one of the few post-processing effects that can significantly impact image quality in games, and it’s always a bit annoying when there isn’t an option to turn it off. Like many other Unreal Engine releases, Tekken 8 has the same problem and has forced chromatic aberration. Thankfully, we can disable it by editing the configuration file.

  • Open Windows Run by either pressing the Windows R keys together or searching for it in Windows Search.
  • Enter the following address, and press OK
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Tekken 8
Tekken 8 in Windows Run
Tekken 8 in Windows Run
  • Here, open the Engine.ini file using a text editor like Notepad, or Notepad++
  • Now, add the following lines at the bottom of the file
[SystemSettings]
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
  • Now, save the file (Ctrl+S), and exit out

That’s all you need to do, and chromatic aberration will be completely disabled in-game. If you want to re-enable it for any reason, simply remove the line you just added.

Disable Motion Blur in Tekken 8

You can also completely disable motion blur in Tekken 8 using a command as well. Follow the same steps above, but this time, add the following line as well.

r.MotionBlurQuality=0

The value 0 will turn it off completely and 1 to 4 decides the quality.

So if you disabled both chromatic aberration and motion blur, it should look like this.

[SystemSettings]
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0

We hope this guide was helpful and you were able to disable the Tekken 8 chromatic aberration effect on PC. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments below.
