Some new images hit twitter earlier today showing the DualSense 5 being opened up. It seems that th DualSense 5 battery size is going to deliver on the promise of lasting longer than the DualShock 4, which had a very low battery life when compared to the DualShock 3 on the PS3.

The DualSense 5 battery size won’t disappoint

The DualSense 5 was spotted on Twitter today by someone who seems to be working with the manufacturing of the controller. They posted detailed pictures of the externals of the controller and the battery too.

You can see one of the pictures shows 1560 mAh. The second generation DualShock 4 controllers had 1000 mAh batteries., this means there is a 56% increase in battery capacity.

However, the battery life could be impacted by the haptic feedback, the adaptive triggers and the new features of the DualSense 5.

The twitter user shares their experience with using the new controllers as well in the following tweets:

According to this data, it seems that the DualSense 5 could be a very pleasant experience for gamers, and the controller does offer a world of newer features as opposed to the DualShock 4.

While this won’t mean a battery that will last over a week like with the PS3, the battery life will still be better than the PS4 which only lasted for a day or two on generous usage. If you do continuous gaming, the DualShock 4 lasts lesser.

While we still don’t have a proper figure to assign to the battery life of the DualSense 5, perhaps that will be shared by Sony later.

If you want to have a look at the DualSense 5, you can watch Geoff Keighley demonstrate the controller while playing Astroboy.

The controller does look good and while it will definitely cost a lot more than the previous DualShock controllers, it means players will have to be careful about handling their new controllers.

Sony is rumored to be sharing some PS5 news later this month, perhaps the DualSense 5 will make an appearance in the same show as well.
