  • EA has yet to comment on Dead Space remake

A survey is being sent out by EA to fans asking about their prospective interest in seeing remakes of Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 from the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 console generation. It’s interesting to note here that these are also two separate questions rather than asking fans about the recent Dead Space remake and if they would like the continuation of the story instead. However, I know I can’t say no to a Dead Space 2 remake.

Giving Dead Space Trilogy Second Wind – Make Us Whole Again

According to a survey shared by Dillon Rogers on Twitter, EA could be gauging fan interest on remaking Dead Space 2 and 3. While the recent Dead Space remake did remarkably well in terms of critical and commercial reception, fans and EA would be amiss to not remake 2 which is easily the most iconic entry in the series and beloved by fans.

3 was marred by poor choices like a bigger focus on combat, microtransactions, and co-op, all of which were opposite of the Dead Space experience. However, EA might finally read the marker writing on the wall and allow for the developers to do their own thing this time.

While it’s too early for us to speculate if a sequel to the recent remake is even in consideration right now, we will have to wait for Motive or EA to speak out about the venture at an official capacity.
