According to an interview during Taipei Game Show, a developer on the game has confirmed that Elden Ring will take 30 hours to beat if you’re looking to just take on the main story but has not specified how long the game will take if you choose to explore the optional dungeons and the other side quests of the game which could potentially expand the runtime of the game even more.

Elden Ring Main Story Is Roughly 30 Hours Long

During a developer interview at Tapei Game Show, a developer has confirmed that Elden Ring will be 30 hours long if you’re only looking to go after the main story.

You can see the mention at 33:00 in the video

In addition, the developer talks about all the optional quests, dungeons, and other areas players can explore on their journey to get more out of the game, which is definitely going to be a part of the experience and what true fans are going to be looking for.

The video also shows us a quick glimpse at gameplay and screenshots which is a nice bonus.

Elden Ring is a brand new IP that is being developed by From Software and features the writing talent of George R. R. Martin, the creator of the Game of Thrones universe. Fortunately, unlike Sekiro, players who have played the Souls series will feel more at home with this game than they did with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in the case of lore, which was one of the places where fans felt Sekiro and Dark Souls were two entirely different worlds.

With this latest development, it is good to see that the game will be good for fans who are just looking to beat the game for its story, and if you wish to dwell further into the lore by exploring the optional dungeons and other side quests.

Elden Ring will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC on February 25th, 2022.
