The Haligtree Secret Medallion is a key item in Elden Ring that allows you to activate the Grand Lift of Rold. However, finding this item can be quite troublesome since it is found in two separate locations across the Lands Between. That is why this guide will show you the Haligtree Secret Medallion locations in Elden Ring.

The Haligtree Secret Medallion is found in Castle Sol and the Albinauric Village. To use it, you must go to the bottom of the Grand Lift of Rold and use this secret medallion.

To know exactly where the medallion is and what you need to do to acquire it, continue reading to find out. With that said, let’s dive right in and get started.

Haligtree Secret Medallion Locations

The Haligtree Secret Medallion is split into two pieces – left and right. Both of these pieces are far apart from each other so it can be a bit confusing to find them. However, we will show you where you can get both pieces and how to use the Haligtree Secret Medallion.

Left

Finding the left piece can be quite a hassle since it is found in a late-game area. You need to progress through the game until you reach Castle Sol and defeat Commander Niall. The boss fight is surprisingly difficult and can take a few tries before you recognize his patterns.

After finally defeating this tough boss, you can find the medallion on the roof of the tower in the northeast. If you have been following Latenna’s quest, she will hint at this location and tell you that you can find an important item here. For those who are curious, Latenna can be found at the Slumbering Wolf’s Shack.

The right piece of the Haligtree Secret Medallion can be in the Albinauric Village in the Liurnia of the Lakes region. To find it, enter the village and activate the Site of Grace. From there, progress through it and you’ll find an ominous-looking pot.

Hit the pot.

Hit the pot once to destroy it and cause Albus to appear. He will ask you for mercy but will soon realize that you are not the bad guy. Make sure that you do not hit Albus once the pot is broken or you might accidentally kill him.

Once he is done talking, interact with Albus to get the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right). Since this is an early-game location, you can get this piece without any issues. However, due to it being an optional area, I have seen many players miss it. Worry not because you can return at any point to get this item.

Once you get this piece, be extremely careful when you return to the Roundtable Hold. Now, Esha of the Royal Remains will attack you when you teleport to the Hold. Defeat him and everything will return to normal. The good news is that this fight is extremely easy since he does not have a lot of HP.

How to Use

Now that you have collected both medallion pieces, it’s time to know how to use it. If you have made it through the Royal Capital, you will notice that a massive lift blocks your way. Without the medallion, you cannot access this lift.

However, once you have both pieces of the medallion, you can activate the Grand Lift of Rold in the Forbidden Lands and enter the area of Consecrated Snowfield. This area will allow you to reach Miquella’s Haligtree where you can fight the optional boss Malenia.

To use the medallion, you must go to the bottom of the Grand Lift of Rold and switch actions from “Hoist Medallion” to “Hoist Secret Medallion“.

Conclusion

And there you have it; that’s everything you need to know about the Haligtree Secret Medallion locations and how to use it. Finding this item can be confusing for most players since the medallion is spread in two pieces and different areas of the map.
