FAR: Changing Tides is an upcoming atmospheric vehicle adventure from Okomotive and Frontier Developments. The title is set in the world of Far Lone Sails and aims to take players on another emotional journey with a new protagonist. The developers recently revealed the release date for it, and we are only a few months away from release. Just like the first game, FAR Changing Tides is coming to PC as well, through Steam, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store. Now, with these store pages up, the FAR Changing Tides system requirements have been revealed as well.
The first game is one of the highest-rated titles on Steam and has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” score from its users. FAR Changing Tides is coming basically every platform and is also releasing on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Plenty of upcoming titles are making their way to Game Pass, and it is easily one of the best deals in gaming right now.

Just like the first title, despite looking gorgeous the title isn’t very demanding. Players with mid-budget systems should do absolutely fine, and get a solid experience. To play at higher settings you need something like an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X paired with a fairly common GPU like the GTX 1060. Players will need a total of 4 GB of free space, and 8 GB of RAM.
While this game mentions 8 GB of RAM, we highly urge PC users to upgrade to 16 GB, as most modern PC titles require that much to perform smoothly.
