Grand Theft Auto 5’s Southern San Andreas is incredibly large, requiring the best and fastest vehicles to traverse it. Many players opt for fast cars or fast motorcycles. However, many forget that GTA 5 Online is host to a plethora of incredibly fast Airplanes, that make getting around Los Santos and Blaine County an absolute breeze.

The Buckingham Pyro

The Pyro is a military-grade twin-boom fighter jet, added as part of the Smuggler’s Run update. The Pyro is modeled after the De Havilland Vampire and can be purchased for $4,455,500 from Warstock Cache & Carry. It is the fastest plane in GTA 5 by far.

The Buckingham Pyro has a top speed of 222.75 mph (358.00 km/h) and can be customized at any Hanger Aircraft Workshop. You’ll be hard put to find a plane that outperforms the lightning-quick Pyro.


Western Company Rogue


Top Speed: 219.50 mph (353.00 km/h)

The Rogue is another military-style armored and weaponized plane added as part of the Smuggler’s Run update. Modeled after the formidable Beechcraft T-6 Texan II, you can purchase it at Warstock Cache & Carry for $1,596,000.

The Western Company Rogue can reach top speeds of 219.50 mph (353.00 km/h) straight off of the runway. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to use the 3 Homing Missiles that the Rogue comes equipped with.


The Mammoth Hydra


Top Speed: 209.25 mph (336.75 km/h).

The Hydra, like the Rogue, is another armored and weaponized Fighter Jet and was added to GTA Online as part of the 1.21 Heists DLC update. The Hydra is designed after the Harrier II and F-35 Lightning II respectively. You’ll be able to purchase it for $3,990,000 from Warstock Cache & Carry.

The Mammoth Hydra can reach a top speed of 209.25 mph (336.75 km/h). However, unlike the majority of planes on this list, the Hydra is a VTOL plane. Therefore, the Hydra can perform vertical take-off and landing, making it a favorite among players as you’re able to land and take off from pretty much anywhere.


V-65 Molotok


Top Speed: 207.75 mph (334.34 km/h)

The V-65 Molotok is similar to the Pyro in design and is also an armored weaponized Fighter Jet, likewise added as part of the Smuggler’s Run update. The V-65 Molotok is designed after the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 and can be purchased from Warstock Cache & Carry for $4,788,000.

The Molotok can reach the top speed of 207.75 mph (334.34 km/h), and will come equipped with 3 Homing Missiles. Therefore, you’ll be able to destroy anyone you can’t outfly.


Buckingham Howard NX-25


Top Speed: 203.75 mph (327.90 km/h)

The Howard NX-25 is an armored plane based on the Hughes H-1 Race and was added to GTA Online as part of the Smuggler’s Run update. You’ll be able to purchase the Howard NX-25 for a cool $1,296,750 from Elitas Travel.

The Howard NX-25 is an astonishingly classic-looking vehicle and can reach top speeds of 203.75 mph (327.90 km/h). The Howard is perfect for those that love classic-style planes at an affordable price.


JoBuilt P-996 Lazer


Top Speed: 195.00 mph (313.82 km/h)

Built like a Missile itself, the P-996 Lazer is a weaponized Fighter Jet, similar to the Hydra in style, and one of the fastest Jets in GTA 5. The P-996 Lazer is based on the iconic F-16 Fighting Falcon and can be purchased for an eye-watering $6,500,000 from Warstock Cache & Carry.

The P-996 Lazer comes with a sleek and aerodynamic body, allowing it to reach speeds of 195.00 mph (313.82 km/h). Additionally, it comes equipped with full armor and weaponry.


Western Company Seabreeze


Top Speed: 191.75 mph (308.59)

The Western Company Seabreeze is a weaponized plane, again originating from the Smuggler’s Run update. The Seabreeze is one of the most unique-looking planes on our list, having been designed after the Seawind 300c. You’ll be able to purchase the Seabreeze for $1,130,500 from Elitas Travel. Which is pretty cheap for one of the fastest planes in GTA 5.

Once purchased the Seabreeze can reach a surprisingly impressive top speed of 191.75 mph (308.59). This is the perfect plane for players who want something fast yet interesting to fly.


B-11 Strikeforce

Top Speed: 163.75 mph (262.53 km/h)

The B-11 Strikeforce is perhaps one of the best-looking military-style weaponized vehicles available in GTA Online, on top of being one of the fastest jets in GTA 5. The Strikeforce was added to GTA Online as part of the 1.44 After Hours update, and is based on the A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthog”.

You can purchase the Strikeforce for $3,800,000 from Warstock Cache & Carry. Once purchased the Strikeforce will reach reasonable speeds of 163.75 mph (262.53 km/h). However, this is a tank in flying form, being able to withstand up to 6 Homing Missiles.
