The Last Faith, gothic Metroidvania from Kumi Souls Games is finally out on PC and consoles. The PC version runs quite well but doesn’t have many settings to customize or the proper support for all display types. Here is how you can fix the Last Faith ultrawide issues where you’ll see black bars on the side.

Fixing the Last Faith Ultrawide Black Bars Issues

By default, you’ll have to deal with black bars since the game doesn’t have ultrawide support. It gets in the way of immersion, and negatively impacts the presentation. Thankfully, Rose from the widescreen community have already released a patch that adds support to it.

  • Head over to the following GitHub link
  • Scroll down a bit, and download the latest zip of the patch (31.7 MB) under Assets by clicking. As of writing, it is version 1.0

  • This will download the zip file, which you need to extract using a compression tool like Winrar or 7zip
  • Extract the file in the following location inside The Last Faith’s main folder

That’s all you need to do. Launch the game after installing the patch, and the boot might take a bit longer than usual. Here is a screenshot provided by Rose of The Last Faith running with the patch installed.
