Given how widespread Genshin Impact is becoming by the day, players are hellbent on upgrading their stats to match the ever-progressing meta and ascending the power ladder. In gacha games like Genshin Impact, where 5-star weaponry and characters are the way to glory, one may wonder which one they should actually risk their primogems on.
With all that said, the main things you’ll be looking for in a Polearm would depend on its user. For example, making an ATK-based character focus on their DEF or ATK to make them well-balanced or a dangerous beast, respectively.
THIS is the ONLY weapons ranking you’ll need to decide which 5-Star Polearm is the best in Genshin Impact. So, sit tight because a LOT is going to be revealed to you.
Disclaimer: Obtaining a 5-star character and their constellations is a significant upgrade to anyone’s account. But these things can be costly especially with the limited source of Primogems in-game. Please do not feel forced to roll for a 5-star character or their constellations to increase their effectiveness.
What is a Polearm?
Polearm is a unique class of weapons wielded by swift and agile Characters that specialize in “Faster Hits” and “Longer Reach”. Wielded by the players dominating the meta, the right polearm choice in Genshin Impact will overwhelm your opponents while also showcasing the skillfulness of those who command it.
Basis of Ranking
Every player has a unique playstyle which makes the game more interesting. By prioritizing one thing over the other, the “Best Polearm” may vary for some players. What I’ll be basing this ranking on is neither the popularity of Polearm, nor will it be the Maximum raw damage it can deal in a single attack.
What we’ll be doing in this ranking will be something different: We’ll analyze the usefulness of the Polearm in various recurring situations. It might be a bit confusing to the beginners. And while some of you may not agree with this list, rest assured that this list is not all-encompassing but merely the result of our own experiences in-game.
If you think we missed some points, do let us know in the comments. So let’s not waste anymore of your time and get right into the list of best 5-Star Polearms in Genshin Impact.

Recommended Characters
- Cyno: The BiS weapon for Cyno which requires little from artifacts. EM boosted from its passive increases his Burst DMG
- Hu Tao: The second-best polearm for her after Staff of Homa. Even though her Burst DMG increases a lot by its passive, it can’t be compared to her BiS (Best in Slot).
- Xiangling: A great choice for her as her main DMG comes from her elemental reaction.
Vortex Vanquisher (ATK 608 • ATK 49.6%)
This sharp polearm can seemingly pierce through anything. When swung, one can almost see the rift it tears in the air. Using this polearm packed with brute force, Zhongli with his Archon power, can cut through anything with sheer force.
Vortex Vanquisher is known for its raw ATK Buff and its High DMG with Shielded Characters. It’s passive may not be for everyone, but it’s sure to shock you when you see the DPS it provides as a polearm in Genshin Impact.

- Zhongli: His shield greatly affects his Max HP provided by the weapon. You should use it if you want to play him on-field for a while longer
- Xiao: For him, you should equip this thing cuz of the CRIT DMG and ATK it provides. When his Hp is decreased, it helps him do more DMG.
