According to a very reliable leaker for the scene, there is a good chance that Ghost Recon Wildlands could be among one of the few PlayStation Plus Extra titles for August 2022. The source of the information is Billbil-kun of Dealabs fame, and their information so far has been constantly on the mark.

Ghost Recon Wildlands on PlayStation Plus Extra

Ubisoft’s 2017 open-world title Ghost Recon Wildlands was the last good entry to the series, until the release of Breakpoint in 2019, which greatly divided the fan base and has since then, put the Ghost Recon series on hold with no new games announced as of now.

However, if you have been waiting for a reason to take a trip back to the Wildlands, Ubisoft might just give you one if you are on PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium.

According to Billbil-kun on Dealabs, they have stated that the title will be part of the Ubisoft+ plan for PlayStation by making the game a part of the August 2022 lineup.

Billbil-kun describing the arrival of Ghost Recon on the service

Billbil-Kun is a known leaker for the monthly offers of monthly PlayStation Plus games and sometimes, Xbox Games with Gold / Game Pass titles, and their track record has so far been on the mark with each of their leaks.

While this is a rare leak that they are putting out, considering their track record, we are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

August is shaping up to be an excellent month to take a trip down memory lane with Ubisoft. With another rumor stating the potential of Immortals: Fenyx Rising coming to Game Pass, and now Ghost Recon Wildlands for PlayStation Plus, fans of open-world games will be in for a treat should both rumors prove to be true.

For now we recommend taking this news with some salt until PlayStation reveals their official lineup for the month of August in the weeks that follow, but given the track record of the leakers sourcing this information, it is now only a question of when, not if.
