This has the similar 4v1 gameplay design we’ve expected from other titles in the genre like Dead By Daylight, Evil Dead, and more. Ghostbusters is the perfect choice for this style of game because of its entire premise. The title is nearing its release date, and more information has been revealed. If you pre-order Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, you will get the following additional content.
“Advance” access to the following items:
- Slimer
- Custom Particle Thrower and Proton Pack
- Special Clothing Colorways
Compared to other pre-order bonuses, this one has some early unlocks that you’ll get an edge with. The Slimer, we’re assuming, is one of the ghosts you’ll be able to control, while the custom particle thrower and proton pack are likely gadgets that will be used in gameplay. Additionally, there will be cosmetics called “colorways,” which are likely just different color options for your outfits.
Though since you’re just getting “advance” access to these items, it means with some progression, you’ll likely unlock those anyway.
There isn’t a deluxe edition for this, but you can get a physical collector’s edition.

The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, and PS5 on 18th October 2022.
We’re excited to see what this one brings to the genre and if fans of the universe will be pleased. So far, the gameplay footage has been convincing, though, and it’s nice to see more IPs being adapted into co-op experiences.
