The Gotham Knights have been the talk of Gotham City for the past few years now. After being a rumor, and finally coming to life in August 2020. Since its announcement, the game has been delayed a couple of times, but now the Batfamily is planning an October 25th, 2022 release date. However, a new update on the PlayStation Store may have given a surprise away early.
Gotham Knights 4-Player co-op
Gotham Knights could be getting a 4-player co-op according to a new update to the PlayStation Store. While the developers did say that the game would get a 4-player co-op mode in challenges and that the story was only made for 2 players, perhaps the new update allows for 4-players of the Batfamily to be part of the story together?
The listing appears on the PlayStation Store, and while we haven’t got an official update from the developers or publisher on whether or not the change is there, we will have to wait and see if either gives and update to the state.
If true, all 4 playable characters are visible on the banner:
- Robin (Damian Wayne)
- Red Hood
Gotham Knights will be the first time we don’t take the cowl of Bruce Wayne, as the city is under attack and it’s up to the sidekicks to save the day.
From the last gameplay video shown off for the game, we can see that the game will definitely be something that will be an adapted taste for fans as this is a brand new entry to the genre, and while it will be a change of pace for the fans of the Batman games, this is something that we will have to wait and see reviews for.
For now, take this rumor with a grain of salt and be prepared to have a second player to go on an adventure with you.
