  • No official confirmation yet

Gran Turismo 7 is the most recent entry to the long-running racing simulator series that has been a staple of the PlayStation family since the PlayStation 1. The title is currently exclusive on the PS5 and is one of the best-looking titles on the console even today, but the lack of a performance mode irked fans who had to settle for 30FPS mode, however, some patch notes for the game got leaked early and could hint at an upcoming 120Hz mode to make things even faster.

Gran Turismo 7 and 120Hz – Prepare Your Engines

Gran Turismo accidentally pushed out a patch early to the public a few hours ago, and while the original is in Japanese, someone translated one of the parts of the patch to show that the title could be getting a much-awaited 120Hz mode.

Keep in mind, there is nothing official from Polyphony or Sony yet, so this could either be a case of lost in translation, or otherwise. While a 120Hz mode would definitely create greater interest in the game, it is definitely possible with titles like Forza on the Xbox Series X being able to tout the feature with no effort, so its safe to say that Polyphony should be able to easily bring the feature to consoles.
