Guerilla Games, the developer of the Horizon series has confirmed that a new title is indeed in the works. The Horizon series began life on the PS4 with Horizon: Zero Dawn on the PS4 in 2017, and the latest entry to the series, Horizon: Forbidden West released in 2022, and more recently, we got a DLC for the title, Burning Shores. The studio has now confirmed they are working on a new entry to continue Aloy’s story.
A New Horizon Title Is Coming
Guerilla Games was previously best known for the Killzone series which was prominent on the PS2 and PS3, but as of Shadowfall, the studio no longer pursued interests in the IP and instead shifted focus to a new IP, Horizon. Featuring a female protagonist, Aloy, fighting against futuristic dinosaurs with equally futuristic weapons.
The Horizon series has seen moderate success with its two mainline entries, and with its latest DLC, Burning Shores, the studio has no signs of slowing down. In an online blog, the company stated.

It seems that the studio could also be at work on another project that is more online focused, but that is something fans will have to wait and see. It’s always good to see Aloy’s journey continue, especially with how fans are under the spell of the graphical wonder that is Horizon’s engine and always showing the best capabilities of the consoles they release
