Some new files were added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone, among the files are two curious entries which could hint at the new Call of Duty being announced soon. We last heard about Call of Duty Black Ops a while ago, but it seems that Call of Duty 2020 could be upon us very soon.

Call of Duty 2020 – The numbers make a return

Anyone who played Call of Duty Black Ops in 2010 will no doubt remember the numbers. The scene shows a woman smoking a cigarette and speaking a set of numbers into a microphone.

It seems that the numbers have made a return in a hidden audio file in Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

In addition, voice lines for Frank Woods have also been spotted in the game.

When Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered released, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) later on added Captain Price as an operator to use in the multiplayer and Warzone.

Perhaps this means Activision plans on using Frank Woods as a pre-order incentive for Call of Duty 2020?

It’s worth mentioning that we are now entering the longest period without any Call of Duty related teasers or promotional items.

With Activision also holding their silence, and no signs of them hosting a digital event, we can only wait patiently for the next entry in the Call of Duty line.

So far all the knowledge on the game comes from leaked content on the web. With Activision holding a strong silence over whats to come for the series.

While it’s strongly believed that Call of Duty 2020 could go back to good old fashioned boots on the ground action, but so far there has been no affirmation from Activision.

With this year being the year of the next-generation consoles, fans are also wondering if Call of Duty 2020 will be a cross-gen title like 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts.

With the latest voice lines, we at least know we are back to Call of Duty: Black Ops, but how legitimate the claim is will only be told once Activision officially announces the game.
