Building a base in survival games is always fun as you can either be minimalistic or (if you’re like me) you can run wild. Concerning building a base, covering your structures with a roof is just as important as building them. We will show you how to build a roof in Palworld.

Surprisingly, it isn’t as simple as you would imagine. I struggled with this process, so I’ve made this guide to make it easier for newer players. With that said, let’s get started.

Palworld: How to Build a Roof

To build a roof, you must first create your structure. Once you’ve set up the floors and walls, cover it all with a normal square roof tile.

After you’ve covered the entire ceiling, you’ll want to use the slanted roof. Now, this is where the game starts acting a bit finicky and doesn’t let you place these pieces easily.

For that, you will first have to place a slanted roof on the outside of the building to line it up where you want the roof on the structure. Place a roof on the outside, and then place the slanted roof on top.

As you can see, placing a slanted roof on the outside of your walls is necessary.

Otherwise, getting the slanted roof to line up on the top of the building is almost impossible as the game doesn’t know where to place the tile.

Once you’ve placed the entire slanted roof, you can go ahead and destroy the slanted tiles on the outside to make everything look good.

Conclusion

That’s everything you need to know about how to build a roof in Palworld. Building your base is essential and covering it with a roof is just as important.
