Know By Heart is an adventure game from Ice-Pick Lodge, the creators of the Pathologic series. This new title feels pretty different from their previous titles, but it’s clear that the developers have managed to tell an excellent story yet again. Know By Heart is out now on PC and various consoles. While the PC version isn’t very demanding, there are some technical issues that you can run into. A few users on Steam forums have reported that they are running into a Yellow Screen while trying to play the game. Only people playing the game on Integrated GPUs seem to be running into this problem.
This is highly unusual, and something we haven’t read about before in a game, but thankfully, the developers have provided a workaround. This is a known issue and can be easily solved by following the steps below.
- Launch the game
- In the Main Menu, click on Options
- Now, select Graphics
- Here, you want to disable the Ambient occlusion setting
- Now, start a New Game
That is all you need to do, and the next time you start playing, the issue will not be present. The developers are already working to address this problem, and hopefully, you will be able to turn the setting on again soon. In the meanwhile, if you can play without ambient occlusion, this is the way to go.
