Uncharted Legacy of Thieves is a collection of two iconic PlayStation action adventure exclusives that initially came out on the PS4. The collection is out now on PC, and players can finally dive into one of the best exclusives PlayStation has to offer. The PC port is very good and was handled by Iron Galaxy, but there are a few technical issues. If you want to fix the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves controller issue on your PC, here is how you can do that.

Fixing the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves controller issue

Uncharted Legacy of Thieves natively supports a wide variety of controllers, but despite that, a few Steam users are running into issues with their inputs, especially the Dualsense. These issues include not seeing the button prompts, the lack of dual sense features, and so on. This is due to Steam Input’s interference with the title, but something that can be easily resolved.

Here is how you can ensure that the native profiles for controllers are loaded.

  • Make sure the game isn’t running
  • Open Steam and then open your Library
  • Here, right-click on the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection
  • Select Properties
Steam Properties in Library
Properties
  • Now, select CONTROLLER at the left
  • Click the dropdown icon next to OVERRIDE FOR Uncharted Legacy of Thieves
  • Set it to “Disable Steam Input“ (or Disable Steam Input)

Disable Steam Input

After you’re done with the steps above, relaunch the title. The issue will be completely resolved because the game will be using its default profiles for controllers.

Another thing I recommend is using a cable with Dualshock 4 or Dualsense controllers.

Check Detected Controllers

Another thing you want to ensure is that Steam is picking up your plugged controllers.

To do this, open Controller Settings from Steam Settings General Controller Settings. Your plugged controllers will show up under Detected Controllers.

It’s great to see so many PlayStation exclusives making their way to PC with excellent ports. Last month, we got Spider-Man Remastered, which is a huge success on PC, and Miles Morales is coming later in November.

  • Does that controller have to be plugged in for this to work? I was having the Xbox buttons displayed instead of Playstation in-game and in-menu. I have a Dualsense controller.

      • It does not work, I have tried all the steps. When I disable steam input, my controller doesn’t work in the game. When I turn it back on, they game read My PS dualsense and it still makes it to xbox layout, HELP
