GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition

GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition includes remasters of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas. Since its release, the collection has been under heavy criticism from fans and critics alike, for various bugs, glitches, performance issues, and strange technical choices. Rockstar has also removed previous versions from storefronts, meaning players can only purchase the new trilogy now. Thankfully, modders are already improving the collection with much needed visual fixes and giving PC players options to improve their gameplay experience. If you want to install the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition No Outlines Mod, here is how you can do that.

The trilogy has the lowest average rating of any video game on Metacritic. The game was actually pulled for PC users as a lot of files confidential files were leaked alongside the release.

One of the new additions to the games are white outlines to highlight different characters in combat and weapons. This is something that no other GTA title has, and the visual effect is a bit jarring.

  • This will download a zip file (no_outlines.1.zip)
  • Now, extract that file in the main folder of the game (either III, Vice City, or San Andreas), using a compression software like Winrar or 7zip
  • (Basically, you want the the NoOutlines.pak file in the mods folder)
  • That is all you have to do, to install the mod

Launch the game again, and you will notice how the white outlines aren’t present anymore. The mod works with every game (III, Vice City, and San Andreas), meaning you’ll have to repeat the process for each game if you want to use it.

This can improve how the game looks, and hopefully, the experience for most players.
