Climbing the Valorant ranks can be a long and exhausting process. There is no one secret to rank up fast in Valorant. You’ll need to put in the work and the hours if you’re truly committed to getting your dream rank.

With that said, there are still a ton of things that you can do to enhance your skills and help make it easier to improve in the game. So, join us as we discuss how you can rank up fast in Valorant through our 8 pro tips.

1

Don’t Forget to Aim Train

Let’s start things off plain and simple; by practicing your aim. Aiming is the most important mechanic in Valorant. It’s at the center of everything in the game, which is why you need to improve it as much as you can.

Luckily, there are plenty of ways to train your aim. One of those is using the best aim trainers available for free. These apps have specific routines that can help you improve individual aiming skills and focus on the weaknesses of your aim.

You can also hop into Deathmatch or The Range on Valorant if you want to practice your in-game aiming skills. It’ll also help you improve shooting while strafing and brush up on your map knowledge, along with the common angles.

Overall, any aim trainer is better than no aim trainer. Just make sure to use a consistent aim sensitivity across all apps you use so that you can build that muscle memory.

Learn a Couple of Agents With Different Roles

Another thing you could do to help you rank up fast in Valorant is to diversify your Agent pool. Diversifying your Agent pool will help you be able to adjust to the different maps and fulfill roles that your team would need.

Ideally, it’s best to have a go-to Agent for each role in Valorant. However, that may be a tall order, especially if you’re only starting to learn the Agents. So, around 2 to 3 Agents should be fine, as long as your team doesn’t instalock 4 Duelists.

If you’re truly serious about ranking up, the best thing you can do is adjust to your team’s needs. Having a team composition that is great on the map you’re playing on will increase your chances of winning the match.

3

Don’t Be Selfish, Don’t Bait, and Communicate

This next tip is connected to the previous one. You won’t be winning Valorant by being a selfish player who puts their needs above the team. Even some of the best Valorant players in the world need teamwork to make the dream work.

It also includes properly communicating and doing your role. If you can keep players noted and on track of the things happening on your side of the map, then everyone can make informed decisions and win the game together.

Another thing that you should do is trade your teammates and use your abilities to help your team. It isn’t always about being top frag and getting kills; sometimes, you’ll need to sacrifice your stats and sometimes your own life to win games.

4

Stay Positive, and Don’t Get Tilted

Unfortunately, things won’t always go to plan. You can’t win all the games you participate in, and your teammates aren’t always going to be on board. This is why you need to keep your cool because being angry or tilted won’t do much, aside from clouding your judgment.

Keeping a positive mental is essential to climbing the ranks. You only play worse when you’re tilted, and you’re just going to build up that tilt the more you don’t hit your shots and win those rounds.

I highly suggest taking a break whenever you’re feeling tilted. Losing RR won’t help in your quest to rank up fast in Valorant, and that’s most likely what’ll happen if you continue to play when you’re tilted. Get back to the game once you’ve cooled off and can focus on winning again.

5

Try to Play With Friends

One of the easiest ways to rank up is by playing with friends. Ideally, you definitely want a pre-made group of five. However, it can be tough to assemble that many friends within the same elo, so a duo or trio would do wonders as well.

Playing with friends makes it easier to communicate and come up with strategies that you’re all on board with, especially if you hop onto a Discord server. It’ll also make it easier to play together and ensure that your abilities are on point. Additionally, it also helps during Agent select and ensures that you can pick a great team comp.

Another bonus that playing with friends can bring is better mental since you’re having more fun. Not to mention the extra confidence they bring, which can help you hit more shots. Finally, it’s also great to share the load of carrying the team.

6

Make Yourself Familiar with the Valorant Maps

There are currently a total of nine maps in Valorant, seven of which are currently in the active map pool. That’s a lot of maps that you can possibly play on every time you queue in for a Competitive game.

The only way to ensure that you’re prepared to play any map is by being familiar with all of them. This includes the basic callouts, the common angles, the best team comps, and even the best strategies. This might take a lot of time, but I promise it’ll be worth it.

Playing Deathmatch is a great way to make yourself more familiar with the different maps. You can also start a custom lobby and review each nook and cranny for each map. However, nothing really beats the experience, so it’s also great to go out and play those maps, so make sure you don’t dodge them.

7

Always Be Familiar With the Valorant Meta

The Valorant meta dictates what Agents are strong, what maps are great, which weapons to use, and what strategies are great. Being on top of the Valorant meta is a great way to ensure you’re putting yourself in an optimal position to win more games and gain more RR.

Although, sometimes, playing a more comfortable pick will allow you to perform better, it’s not always going to be the right choice. You still need to have a good idea about the current meta and at least understand it to the point where you know how to counter the popular picks.

8

Watch How Pro Players Play Valorant

The last tip we have to help you rank up fast in Valorant is watching pro players. Watching how professionals play the game will help you understand the things you might be missing out on. These guys are the best of the best. They basically breathe Valorant, and any lessons you can learn from them will always be a valuable addition to your game.

You can also take a few plays, strategies, and techniques from their books and use them in your own ranked games. This is a great way to find lineups, flash techniques, and even basic plays.
