How to Reach 1-7 in Sonic Frontiers

The first zone of Sonic Frontiers contains a lot of hidden puzzles and things that you can explore. Since this is the first open-world Sonic game, SEGA went all-out and created a massive map with tons of activities for the player. One such thing is to activate portals and complete them to earn Vault Keys.

The reason you need these keys is to progress in the story and fight the massive titan in each zone. However, reaching the portal 1-7 might seem impossible without falling in the water and getting the game over screen. That is why this guide will show you how to reach 1-7 in Sonic Frontiers.

Sonic Frontiers: How to Unlock 1-7

As you can see, 1-7 is on a small remote island with no rails or anything connecting to it. You might have tried over and over again to jump to that island but were always unsuccessful. When I first reached this area, I thought that this portal will automatically unlock after I progress the story.

However, even after getting to the second zone – Ares Island – this portal did not unlock. So, to unlock fast travel in this zone, I had to unlock all portals and uncover the map.

Once you reach the area next to the portal, you will spot these three lamps and a stone structure. All of these objects can be interacted with by pressing the attack button. If you press the stone button, nothing will happen despite the button turning blue. You might be tempted to use Cyloop but that won’t work either.

For it to work, you need to activate the lamps in the order shown above. While you can connect them in other ways as well, that will not allow you to jump to the portal. Connecting them in this manner will cause a rail to appear. You can then jump on this rail and get to the small island next to the portal.

Once you reach that area, you will see two more lamps. Connect them as shown above and another rail will appear that will take you to the portal. However, to reach that rail, you will have to do a bit of jumping.

Ride the rail which you took to reach this area and once you see an opening, jump to the new rail that you created. Jumping on that rail will take you straight to the portal. However, if you fall in the river below, you will have to do all of this again.

If done correctly, you will reach the 1-7 portal and will be able to complete it. You can finally finish the final Cyberspace mini-game on Kronos Island. Plus, you will get a few Purple Coins and a cannister for your troubles. You can also finally complete a side story here as well.

Activating the button

To make the entire process easier for the future, you can activate the button next to the portal to create an object that allows you to easily jump to and from the portal. So, if you want to take part in the mini-game again, you won’t have to create the rails all over again. You can simply jump to and from the portal using these jumps.

Conclusion

And there you have it, everything you need to know about how to reach 1-7 in Sonic Frontiers. It can be quite confusing to unlock this portal if you ignore the little lamps in the area. Hopefully, this guide assisted you in opening this portal and finally completing the Kornos Island.
