Not on the Palpagos Islands Defense Force’s watch.

You’d think that the Palpagos Islands would have few rules, especially since you can use your Pals for manual labor, right? Well, I was very surprised to find out that you can still get Wanted in Palworld. Here are three ways to remove the Wanted status in Palworld and get the officers off your tail.

1

Running Away and Hiding

The most effective way to remove the Wanted status in Palworld is to simply get out of sight. You know the saying, “Out of sight, out of mind”? Well, apparently, that’s the Palpagos Islands Defense Force’s (PIDF) motto. If they can’t find you, you’re a free person once again.

There are a handful of ways to hide from the PIDF. Using a mount to outrun them through the terrain will usually work. However, if you’re near a cliffside, you can drop down to a nearby ledge. You just have to wait until they tire themselves out and the Wanted status should disappear within a minute or so.

2

Leave No Witnesses Behind

You’ll only get the Wanted status in Palworld when an NPC spots you committing a crime. If you either hurt an NPC or butcher a Pal in front of an NPC, then get ready for the PIDF to come knocking down your wooden door. Why not remove that Wanted status with a bit more violence?

Killing all witnesses will rid you of all your crimes. Who’s going to rat you out when there’s no one else left? If you’re like me, just take the violent route and add a bit more blood to your hands. The PIDF will usually be high level though, so this method might not be ideal for beginners.

Ideally, you’d want to let out a Pal and use your most powerful weapon to take them out. However, I did find a small loophole where if you use a Fast Travel point and teleport to your home base, the PIDF will teleport with you. From there, your base Pals will do all the hard work and kill all the officers for you. I’m not sure if this is a bug – it most likely is – but I’ll take it anyway.

3

Let Them Kill You

I’ve learned the hard way that the PIDF doesn’t take any prisoners, even if you want to peacefully surrender. So, the final way to remove the Wanted status in Palworld is to accept your fate and let the guards shoot you to death.

Simply dying works well if you’re traveling light and don’t care about leaving items behind. But, if you’ve got valuables with you, it’s a good idea to run to a more accessible spot first. Once you respawn, go back to the location, reclaim your items, and it’ll be like nothing even happened.

Wrapping Things Up

And those were three methods to remove the Wanted status in Palworld. Once the status goes away, you can go back to crafting more Pal Spheres and making them work on your base. Choose your fate: run, battle, or die.
