There are a few unskippable logos at the start of the game, and it can be a bit annoying to have to sit through all those. If you’re looking to get to the action right away, here’s how you can delete a few of these.

  • Head over to where the game is installed.
  • Navigate to the following locations.
\DeadIsland\Content\Movies
  • Here, delete or rename the following files.
BootAMDLogo.mp4
BootLogo.mp4
BootLogo_4K.mp4
BootLoop.mp4
BootLoop_4k.mp4
  • Now, head over to the following folder.
\DeadIsland\DI2\Movies
  • Here, delete the following files as well.
Intro.mp4
Intro_4k.mp4

After you’re done, you can launch the game, and it will boot much faster. These video files might be back if the game receives an update and the client verifies the files. In that case, you’ll have to follow the steps above again.
