Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a great title held back by its technical problems at launch. The title is out now on PC and current-generation consoles. It’ll be a while till the title is fully fixed on PC, but there are a few quality of life improvements you can make in the meantime. If you want to save a bunch of time and skip the Star Wars Jedi Survivor intro videos, here is how you can do that.

Skip the Star Wars Jedi Survivor Intro Videos

To skip the Star Wars Jedi Survivor intro videos, you need two video files from the Movies folder.

Here are the detailed steps.

  • Head over to where Jedi Survivor is installed, and navigate to the following folders.
Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Content\Movies
  • Here, delete or rename the following two files
Default_Startup.mp4
Default_Startup_Loop.mp4.

That is all you need to do, and you can check out the results below.

Results

Here is how long the intro videos take if you boot the title, and keep in mind, these are completely unskippable. This is around 40 seconds, which frankly, is quite a lot.

Jedi Survivor Normal Boot

This is what the boot looks like after you have deleted the two files. This comes down to just 9 seconds, saving you 30 seconds in the process.

Jedi Survivor Fast Boot

I’d say that’s quite an improvement and will get you in the game faster. Keep in mind that any update to the title will likely bring back the files since the client will initiate a verification process. You can follow these steps again to get rid of the files in that case.

If you’re running into crashing issues, I have a guide for you to address those. Additionally, if you can’t get your controllers to work right with the title, make sure to read my suggestions.
