Tears of the Kingdom features various biomes which are quite unique and have their own advantages and disadvantages. As such, there is a snow biome where you will take damage over time if Link is too cold. That is why this guide will show you how to stay warm in Tears of the Kingdom.

If you are a new player to The Legend of Zelda series, this guide will help you out a lot to cross through these areas. With that said, let’s dive right in and get started.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to Stay Warm

How to Stay Warm

When you enter a snowy area, you will see an “unbearable cold” debuff. During this time, Link will take damage slowly. During the early stages of the game, you will have to go through a snowy mountain area to enter the third Shrine.

However, you’ll notice that you cannot go through the mountains with the clothes you currently have. To counter this issue, you need to cook a few meals that provide cold resistance.

Spicy Satueed Peppers

Right before the snowy area, you can find a cauldron in which you can cook food. Plus, you can also find some spicy berries nearby as well. Put them in the pot and make a meal that will give you cold resistance for around 8 minutes.

Make sure that you cook a few meals so that you can eat once your cold resistance ends. This will allow you to easily cross the mountains and complete the third Shrine.

The Unbearable Cold Debuff

As you can see, the “unbearable cold” debuff is now removed, and you can freely roam around in the snowy areas. Keep in mind that this effect only lasts for a certain time period. So, make sure that you keep plenty of food on you. Alternatively, you can try to complete whatever you have to within the time frame.

Finally, if you find some clothing that is warm, you can wear them and roam around without any issues. However, during this point, there is a low chance that you will find anything to keep Link warm.

Conclusion

That’s everything you need to know about how to stay warm in Tears of the Kingdom. If you are going through a snowy area, you will have to keep Link warm, or he will start taking damage. Since you don’t have a lot of HP in the early game, you will die instantly.
