An insider on ResetEra who has a previous track record of leaking the Persona games on Xbox Game Pass, has come out and stated that Persona 3 Remake is indeed very real, and it will include the cut elements of Persona 3 Portable into the remake. The reception could be mixed from fans, but a remake is a remake.
Persona 3 Remake – Double the trouble, double the fun?
According to ResetEra user lolilolailo, who correctly confirmed the series coming to Xbox Game Pass before the official news, they believe that Persona 3 Remake is indeed very real, and there are some additional details that they share in a thread.
Persona 3 was originally released for the PS2 back in 2006, and later on released Persona 3 Portable for the PSP in 2009, which included a slew of new content, features, and more that helped cement the latter as the definitive way to play the title back in the day, and bringing it to modern consoles is another testament on the staying power of the title.
According to lolilolailo, this is what they have to say about the features in the remake:
Because P3P is a cheap port of a PSP game, same as P4G. It’s easy money and you can bring the “whole” saga (because, let’s be honest, P1 and P2 don’t exist) to the new consoles.
P3R is like Persona 5, both graphically and QoL stuff related. And the content (or the lack of it) might not leave all the fans happy, so they still have P3P.
Also it’s Atlus.

This port is not to be confused with the upcoming Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 release on January 19th, 2023, for the other consoles, those are still their original versions.
We do not know a release window or platforms for the title yet but rest assured, we will add more to the story when we hear more.
