Saints Row 2022 is an upcoming action-adventure open-world game from Volition and Deep Silver. This entry in the series is essentially a reboot and introduces new characters, and a new location. Similar to previous entries, Saints Row 2022 also has cooperative play, and the developers have gone the extra mile to seamlessly integrate it this time around. However, is Saints Row 2022 Cross Platform? Here is everything we know so far.
The title is headed to current, and next-gen consoles, as well as PC, next year. The developers are confident in the announced release date, but given the state of the world right now, a delay wouldn’t be surprising in the least.
Is Saints Row 2022 Cross Platform?
Like we mentioned before, Saints Row 2022 does indeed have a fairly robust co-op system in place. This means that players can take part in open-world activities, as well as do missions with their friends in two-player co-op, and everyone gets to keep their progress. The developers have confirmed that not only does the game feature co-op, but the co-op is cross-gen. This means that if you’re on a PS4, you can play with your friend on a PS5. However, when it comes to cross platform, there hasn’t been any confirmation yet, Saints Row 2022 will not feature cross platform play. We have reached out to the developers, and hopefully, get a response, but for now, we can assume and can confirm that while the game does have cross-gen co-op support, it does not have cross platform support. This means, that while you can play within a console manufacture’s ecosystem, you won’t be able to play with players outside of it.
