Mass Effect Legendary Edition Release Date is as illusive as the illusive man in Mass Effect 2. While the remaster was long rumored and finally confirmed, we still linger eagerly for a release date. However, a couple of South-East Asian retailers may have revealed the release dates for the game.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition Release Date – It’s not November 7th.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition Release Date is finally releasing in 2021 but without a final release date lacking from Bioware and EA, it was a matter of time before a retailer would accidentally tell the release date for the highly anticipated trilogy.
The first comes from Shopitree, a Singapore based retailer. The game is set for a March 12 2021 release date on the site.
While a single retailer is often hard to take to face value, a second retailer repeats the release date on their social media.
GGShop, a retailer in Indonesia also repeats the same release date, which comes as a pleasant surprise. It’s rare for one retailer to share a release, but for two retailers in two separate regions to share a single release date is truly something special.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a remaster of the original Mass Effect Trilogy from the seventh generation consoles (PS3, and Xbox 360).
Mass Effect 1 is going to be remade to fit modern gaming standards, and its assumed that Mass Effect 2 and 3 will just get upres’d textures and audio files. The edition also includes all DLC’s from all 3 games and should also include bonus cosmetic DLC for each individual game.
We currently know that the legendary edition is headed for the PS4 and Xbox One, but we have no confirmation of the game coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S yet. So we can hope that these versions are at least capable of running better on new generation consoles, similar to Cyberpunk and other select Xbox Series X/S and PS5 games.
What are your thoughts on the release date? With such a close release date, we must hope for the best and pray that the game launches with as few bugs as possible. Let’s hope EA or Bioware announce an official release date sooner rather than later.
