Monark is an upcoming JRPG from NIS America and FURYU Corporation. The title is one of the most highly anticipated RPGs of the year and comes from the designers of the past Shin Megami Tensei series. Fans of the ATLUS titles will find a lot to like here, as it shares similarities in characters, setting, and even gameplay. Thankfully, unlike ATLUS, NIS has been publishing their titles on PC fairly regularly, and it’s why Monark is coming to Steam as well. Now, the Monark System Requirements have been revealed through the Steam page too.
The game originally came out in Japan last year but is now localized for a western release. It is coming to PC via Steam, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch tomorrow.
Monark System Requirements
To play the game on PC, you need the following specifications
Monark Minimum Requirements
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit or later
- Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 18 GB available space
Monark Recommended Requirements
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit or later
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-3770 or above
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 18 GB available space
If you have seen any footage of the game, you’ll know that it isn’t very graphically intensive. This is why the requirements aren’t that high either, and most users with a budget PC should be good. If you want to play the game at higher settings, you’ll need something like a GTX 1050 paired with a fairly old CPU, like the i7-3770.
A total of 18 GB is required for the PC version, and 8 GB of RAM is recommended. Many JRPGs on PC aren’t that demanding, and this is one of those. Though, usually, it isn’t an issue with performance but the number of graphical options in Japanese releases that’s the main issue. Hopefully, Monark manages to be one of the better ports, but we’ll only know that for sure when the game comes out.
While you are here, make sure to check out the requirements for some other upcoming titles like Shadow Warrior 3, Lies of P, and Atelier Sophie 2.
